INS Sumedha Mission Deployed in Gulf of Guinea
Visit to Angola – Maritime Partnership Exercise with Angolan Navy
Continuing with her ongoing deployment in the Gulf of Guinea, INS Sumedha made a three day port call to Luanda, Angola from 03 Nov 23.
This was followed by Maritime Partnership Exercise with the Angolan Navy on 07 Nov 23.
The visit was aimed at enhancing Naval Cooperation and augmenting interoperability.
The crew of INS Sumedha undertook professional interactions with Angolan Navy. The Commanding Officer INS Sumedha called on VAdm Joa’o Pedro Adao Cambole, Commander Luanda Naval Base and Me Leidy Cussomba, Vice Director, National Directorate for National Defence Policy.
The ship was also kept open for visitors & members of the Indian Diaspora. A visit was also organised for the children from the Don Bosco orphanage.
The MPX conducted on 07 Nov 23, was aimed at exchange of best practices & honing professional skills.
