देश की सैन्य चिकित्सा परंपरा में एक और गौरवशाली अध्याय जुड़ गया जब आर्मी हॉस्पिटल (रिसर्च एंड रिफरल), दिल्ली कैंटोनमेंट के कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग में VIIIवीं बैच की 29 मिलिट्री नर्सिंग कैडेट्स को कमीशन किया गया। इस अवसर पर चार वर्षों की कठिन प्रशिक्षण यात्रा पूरी करने के बाद इन कैडेट्स ने सेवा और करुणा की शपथ लेकर भारतीय सेना की नर्सिंग सेवा का हिस्सा बनने का गौरव प्राप्त किया।

मिलिट्री नर्सिंग सर्विस (MNS) की स्थापना 1888 में हुई थी और तब से लेकर आज तक यह सेवा न केवल भारत के सैन्य अभियानों में बल्कि विश्व युद्धों, कारगिल, शांति अभियानों और कोविड-19 जैसे संकटों में भी अग्रणी रही है।
नई कमीशंड अधिकारी अब उसी परंपरा की torchbearers हैं — प्रशिक्षित, सक्षम और संवेदनशील। वे नई चिकित्सा तकनीकों, ट्रॉमा मैनेजमेंट और युद्धकालीन स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में निपुण हैं।
गौरव और भावनाओं का संगम
समारोह में वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारी, नर्सिंग अधिकारी, शिक्षिकाएं और अभिभावक मौजूद रहे। जब कैडेट्स ने कमीशनिंग बैज धारण किया, तो पूरे सभागार में गर्व और भावनाओं का माहौल छा गया। अभिभावकों के चेहरों पर खुशी और गर्व के आँसू थे — उनकी बेटियाँ अब राष्ट्र की सेवा में वर्दीधारी देवदूत बन चुकी थीं।
