Annual Identification of Defence Pensioners on SPARSH
portal extends upto 31 January 2024

Jammu : 10 Jan 2024

In response to the evolving circumstances and to facilitate a smoother process for our esteemed defence pensioners, the Ministry of Defence has decided to extend the deadline for the annual identification of defence pensioners on newly SPARSH portal. The same is applicable for all Defence Pensioners of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh also.

The original deadline, set for 30 Nov 2023, has now been extended to 31 Jan 2024. This extension aims to ensure that all eligible pensioners have ample time to complete the necessary documentation and provide updated information for the annual identification process.

This decision is part of the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to streamlining administrative processes and providing the best support to our defence community. We understand the importance of timely and accurate record-keeping, and this extension aims to accommodate any unforeseen challenges pensioners may face in meeting the initial deadline.

Pensioners are urged to take advantage of this extended period to complete their annual identification promptly. The Ministry remains dedicated to maintaining transparency and efficiency in pension-related matters, and this extension is a testament to our commitment to the welfare of our defence personnel.

For further details and assistance, pensioners are encouraged to reach out to the designated helpline or visit the official Ministry of Defence website.

In J&K, those pensioners whose annual identification has yet not been done, they may visit their nearest SPARSH SEVA KENDRA or DPDO under PCDA Northern Command for their annual identification. For identification, they must carry their Aadhaar Card, PPO Number, Bank Passbook and Mobile with them
