ARMY COMMEMORATES WORLD WILDLIFE DAY IN MANIPUR

Indian Army conducted a wide varity of events to commemorate rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of the state of Manipur. Army hosted a ‘Wildlife Preservation Awareness Campaign’ and ‘Ethnic Cultural Competition’ in schools at Bishnupur District from 1 March to 3 March 2024,
Painting competition, held on the theme of, ‘Wild Life Preservation’. Over 350 students of various age groups, enthusiastically participated the vivid and vibrant artwork. The students also participated in a mesmerising Culture and Ethnic dance competitions, that became a highlight of the event. The program was witnessed by over 450 people.
Closing ceremony, commemorating the World Wildlife Day was held at St. Xaviour’s School, Moirang on 3 Mar 2024 wherein the winners of various competitions were awarded with medals and certificates of appreciation, in presence of parents, teachers and students.
