Bikaner: BSF Intelligence Branch & Police Joint Operation Foils Heroin Smuggling, 5 Packets Seized

In a significant success against cross-border drug trafficking, the Border Security Force (BSF) Intelligence Branch in Bikaner, acting on specific inputs, conducted a joint search operation with the local police that led to the seizure of five packets of heroin weighing approximately 2.7 kilograms from a village residence near the Indo-Pak border. The consignment, with an estimated market value of over ₹12 crore, was intercepted before it could be pushed further into India.
The operation was launched following credible intelligence received by Deputy Commandant Mahesh Chand Jat of the BSF Intelligence Branch, Bikaner, regarding an imminent attempt by Pakistani smugglers to push narcotics into Indian territory. Acting swiftly, a coordinated team was deployed under the leadership of Inspector General (IG) M.L. Garg, Rajasthan Frontier, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajay Luthra, Sector Headquarters Bikaner, Acting DIG Intelligence Branch Jodhpur Rajkumar Yadav, Commandant of 140 Battalion Prabhakar Singh, and Deputy Commandant Intelligence Branch Mahesh Chand Jat.
The operation was carried out in collaboration with Ravla Police in the village 1 KYD area, where the house of one Sukhwant Singh was thoroughly searched. During the raid, a local trafficker identified as Lovepreet Singh alias Laab Singh, a resident of Aarnivala, Fazilka, Punjab, was caught along with five packets of heroin.
According to officials, this was not an isolated incident but part of a larger pattern of attempts by Pakistani handlers and cross-border syndicates to smuggle narcotics into India. The BSF Intelligence Branch has been consistently disrupting these attempts, denying smugglers success in the Rajasthan sector.
BSF officials stressed that the heroin consignment was seized just in time, preventing its circulation into Punjab and other northern states where drug cartels actively push narcotics into the youth market. They further highlighted the close nexus between Pakistani smuggling networks and local conduits in border villages, which remains under strict surveillance.
Deputy Commandant Mahesh Chand Jat, who has been at the forefront of such operations in the Bikaner sector, has not only spearheaded intelligence-led crackdowns but also carried out multiple awareness campaigns in border villages to educate youth about the dangers of drugs. His efforts, supported by the Intelligence Branch Inspector Kamlesh Kumar and other dedicated personnel, have played a critical role in keeping the region safer from narcotics.
The seizure is being seen as another milestone in BSF’s ongoing war against drugs. Officials confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested trafficker and further investigation is underway to trace the supply chain and cross-border handlers.
The BSF reiterated its commitment to ensuring a drug-free border zone, pledging to remain alert and proactive in neutralizing every attempt made by Pakistani smugglers to destabilize Indian society.

बीकानेर: बी एस एफ इंटेलीजेंस ब्रांच और पुलिस का संयुक्त अभियान, तस्कर गिरफ्तार, 5 पैकेट हेरोइन बरामद

भारत-पाक सीमा से नशे की तस्करी की एक बड़ी कोशिश को बी एस एफ (सीमा सुरक्षा बल) की इंटेलीजेंस ब्रांच ने नाकाम कर दिया। खुफिया सूचना पर की गई संयुक्त कार्रवाई में स्थानीय पुलिस के साथ मिलकर बीकानेर के ग्राम 1 के वाई डी क्षेत्र में छापेमारी कर लगभग 2.7 किलोग्राम हेरोइन के 5 पैकेट बरामद किए गए। इस मादक पदार्थ की अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में कीमत 12 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक आंकी गई है।
यह कार्रवाई बी एस एफ इंटेलीजेंस ब्रांच बीकानेर के उप कमांडेंट महेश चंद जाट को प्राप्त पुख्ता सूचना पर की गई। जानकारी थी कि पाकिस्तान से भारत में नशीले पदार्थों की खेप भेजी जाने वाली है। इसके बाद राजस्थान फ्रंटियर के महानिरीक्षक श्री एम. एल. गर्ग, क्षेत्रीय मुख्यालय बीकानेर के उप महानिरीक्षक श्री अजय लूथरा, इंटेलीजेंस ब्रांच जोधपुर के कार्यवाहक उप महानिरीक्षक श्री राजकुमार यादव, 140वीं बटालियन के कमांडेंट श्री प्रभाकर सिंह और इंटेलीजेंस ब्रांच बीकानेर के उप कमांडेंट श्री महेश चंद जाट के निर्देशन में सर्च ऑपरेशन चलाया गया।
कार्रवाई के दौरान रावला पुलिस की मदद से सुखवंत सिंह के घर की तलाशी ली गई, जिसमें लवप्रीत सिंह उर्फ लाब सिंह (निवासी – आर्निवाला, फाजिल्का, पंजाब) को पकड़ा गया और उसके कब्जे से पांच पैकेट हेरोइन जब्त किए गए।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, यह बरामदगी कोई अलग घटना नहीं बल्कि पाकिस्तान से संचालित बड़े नेटवर्क का हिस्सा है, जो लगातार भारतीय युवाओं को नशे की लत में फँसाने की कोशिश करता है। बी एस एफ इंटेलीजेंस ब्रांच ने लगातार सतर्कता से इन प्रयासों को विफल किया है और राजस्थान फ्रंटियर को नशामुक्त बनाए रखने में अहम भूमिका निभाई है।
महेश चंद जाट ने न केवल खुफिया जानकारी के आधार पर तस्करी पर कई बार कड़ी चोट की है, बल्कि सीमा क्षेत्र के गाँवों में जाकर युवाओं को नशे के दुष्परिणामों से भी जागरूक किया है। इस कार्रवाई में इंस्पेक्टर कमलेश कुमार सहित इंटेलीजेंस ब्रांच की टीम का भी महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा।
बी एस एफ अधिकारियों ने स्पष्ट किया कि इस मादक पदार्थ के भारतीय बाजार में पहुँचने से पहले ही उसे रोककर युवाओं के भविष्य को सुरक्षित किया गया है। गिरफ्तार तस्कर से पूछताछ जारी है और उसके नेटवर्क से जुड़े अन्य लोगों की तलाश भी की जा रही है।
बी एस एफ ने पुनः दोहराया कि उसकी प्राथमिकता सीमा क्षेत्र को पूरी तरह से नशामुक्त और अपराधमुक्त बनाना है और इसके लिए किसी भी कीमत पर तस्करों को सफलता हासिल नहीं करने दी जाएगी।
