Chetak Corps Celebrates 47th Raising Day with Pride and Honour at Bathinda Military Station

Bathinda/Jaipur: The elite Chetak Corps of the Indian Army, synonymous with operational excellence and battlefield readiness, marked its 47th Raising Day with grand military fervour and solemnity at Bathinda Military Station. Established on 1st July 1979 under the command of Lieutenant General M.L. Tuli, the Corps has evolved through decades of dedicated service, adapting to modern warfare requirements while remaining steadfast to its motto — “Fight Forward, Fight Aggressive.”

The celebrations began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the revered ‘Yodha Yaadgar’ War Memorial, paying rich tributes to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives while defending the nation. Lieutenant General Shamsher Singh Virk, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Chetak Corps, along with officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), soldiers, and their families, participated in the solemn occasion, reflecting upon the Corps’ glorious legacy of valour, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to duty.

Chetak Corps: Backbone of India’s Western Defences

The Chetak Corps holds a pivotal place in India’s defence structure, especially along the western front. Its strategic deployments, combat readiness, and professional excellence have made it one of the most formidable formations within the Indian Army. Over the decades, the Corps has played a crucial role in safeguarding the nation’s borders, thwarting enemy designs, and responding swiftly to operational challenges.

During Operation Sindoor, the Chetak Corps once again demonstrated its unmatched preparedness and operational efficiency, earning accolades from military leadership and reaffirming its status as a cutting-edge strike formation.

Corps Commander Lauds Troops’ Dedication

Addressing the gathering on the momentous occasion, Lieutenant General Virk exhorted all ranks to uphold the highest traditions of the Indian Army and to continue performing their duties with utmost commitment and courage.

He praised the Corps for maintaining a high state of operational readiness, which was evident during ‘Operation Sindoor’, and urged the troops to remain ever-ready for future challenges with selfless resolve and indomitable spirit.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ex-Servicemen and their families for their invaluable contributions and sacrifices, assuring that the Corps will always stand firmly beside Veer Naris (war widows), veterans, and their families.

The Chetak Corps’ 47th Raising Day celebrations were not only a reminder of its battle-hardened legacy but also a reaffirmation of its dual commitment — ensuring the nation’s territorial integrity while caring for the welfare of its soldiers and veterans.

चेतक कोर ने मनाया 47वां स्थापना दिवस: देश की पश्चिमी सीमाओं का मजबूत प्रहरी

बठिंडा/जयपुर। भारतीय सेना की अत्यंत प्रतिष्ठित और सामरिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण चेतक कोर ने बठिंडा मिलिट्री स्टेशन पर अपना 47वां स्थापना दिवस बड़े ही गरिमामयी और सैन्य परंपराओं के अनुरूप मनाया। 1 जुलाई 1979 को लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एम.एल. तुली के नेतृत्व में स्थापित यह कोर अपनी स्थापना के बाद से ही लगातार युद्ध कौशल, संचालनात्मक दक्षता और अदम्य जज़्बे के साथ देश की रक्षा में अग्रणी रही है।

‘फाइट फॉरवर्ड, फाइट एग्रेसिव’ (आक्रामकता के साथ आगे बढ़ो, लड़ो) के प्रेरक आदर्श वाक्य के साथ चेतक कोर ने समय-समय पर बदलती युद्ध परिस्थितियों के अनुरूप स्वयं को ढाला और आज यह कोर भारतीय सेना का एक अत्यंत सक्षम, तैयार और युद्धक क्षमता से भरपूर गठन बन चुकी है।

‘योद्धा यादगार’ पर वीरों को दी गई श्रद्धांजलि

स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर आयोजित समारोह में चेतक कोर के जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल शमशेर सिंह विर्क ने समस्त अधिकारियों, जवानों और उनके परिवारों के साथ मिलकर ‘योद्धा यादगार’ युद्ध स्मारक पर पुष्पचक्र अर्पित कर वीर शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि दी। यह श्रद्धांजलि उन अमर सपूतों को समर्पित थी, जिन्होंने मातृभूमि की रक्षा करते हुए अपने प्राण न्योछावर कर दिए।

पश्चिमी भारत की रक्षा में चेतक कोर की अहम भूमिका

चेतक कोर भारतीय सेना के उन प्रमुख अभियानी संगठनों में शामिल है, जो देश की पश्चिमी सीमाओं की रक्षा में अहम जिम्मेदारी निभाता है। चाहे सीमाओं पर तैनाती हो, ऑपरेशन की स्थिति हो या मानवीय सहायता अभियान — चेतक कोर ने हर मोर्चे पर अपनी संचालनात्मक दक्षता, युद्ध तत्परता और वीरता का परिचय दिया है।

‘ऑपरेशन सिंदूर’ के दौरान कोर की युद्धक तैयारी, समन्वय और रणनीतिक कौशल की पूरे सेना नेतृत्व ने सराहना की। इस अभियान में कोर ने न केवल अपनी तैयारी का परिचय दिया, बल्कि भारत की सैन्य शक्ति का भी सशक्त प्रदर्शन किया।

कोर कमांडर ने सैनिकों का उत्साह बढ़ाया

इस अवसर पर कोर कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल विर्क ने कहा कि चेतक कोर की वीरगाथा केवल इतिहास की बात नहीं, बल्कि यह प्रत्येक सैनिक की कड़ी मेहनत, समर्पण और अदम्य साहस का परिणाम है। उन्होंने सभी अधिकारियों और जवानों से भारतीय सेना की महान परंपराओं को बनाए रखने और भविष्य की किसी भी चुनौती के लिए हमेशा तैयार रहने का आह्वान किया।

लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल विर्क ने पूर्व सैनिकों और वीर नारियों के प्रति भी आभार व्यक्त करते हुए आश्वस्त किया कि चेतक कोर हर परिस्थिति में उनके साथ खड़ी रहेगी और उनके कल्याण के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहेगी।

सैनिक कल्याण और आधुनिक युद्ध तैयारी में अग्रणी चेतक कोर

चेतक कोर न केवल युद्ध के मैदान में सशक्त है, बल्कि सैनिकों और पूर्व सैनिकों के कल्याण में भी अग्रणी भूमिका निभा रही है। कोर द्वारा लगातार सैनिकों के परिजनों, पूर्व सैनिकों और वीर नारियों के कल्याण हेतु योजनाएं चलाई जा रही हैं।

साथ ही, बदलती सुरक्षा चुनौतियों के अनुरूप चेतक कोर आधुनिक हथियारों, तकनीक और युद्ध रणनीतियों को अपना रही है, जिससे इसकी युद्धक क्षमता और संचालनात्मक दक्षता में लगातार इजाफा हो रहा है।

शौर्य और बलिदान की गौरवशाली विरासत

वर्ष 1979 में स्थापना के बाद से चेतक कोर ने अनेक युद्ध अभियानों, सीमावर्ती सुरक्षा, आतंरिक सुरक्षा और आपदा राहत अभियानों में अपनी क्षमता और समर्पण का परिचय दिया है। कोर के वीर सैनिकों ने मातृभूमि की रक्षा के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहुति दी है, जिससे आज देश की सीमाएं सुरक्षित हैं।

47वें स्थापना दिवस पर यह कोर अपने गौरवशाली इतिहास को याद करते हुए भविष्य के लिए भी पूरी तैयारी के साथ आगे बढ़ रही है। यह कोर भारत की सैन्य शक्ति, देशभक्ति और वीरता का प्रतीक बन चुकी है।
