The Kshitij Literature Festival, held from December 21 to 23 in Delhi, unfolded as a spectacular confluence of literature and art, captivating audiences with its vibrant activities, enriching discussions, and soul-stirring performances. Inauguration and Opening Ceremony
The festival commenced on December 21 at Aroma Hotel in Dwarka, Delhi, with an inspiring opening ceremony. Padma Shri Dr. Shovana Narayan, a renowned Kathak exponent, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Organized under the visionary leadership of Mrs. Ranjita Sahay Ashesh, founder of Kshitij Where Dreams Meet Reality, the ceremony set the stage for an extraordinary three-day celebration.
The event also witnessed the release of ten books, showcasing the diversity and richness of Indian literature. Highlights included Fark Sirf Jazbe Ka Tha by Mrs. Ranjita Sahay Ashesh, 17 Se 70 Soch Se Kalam Tak by Mrs. Vimal Grover, and Mera Ishq Faujiyana by Mrs. Babita Nagar. These works, along with several others, infused the festival with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Encouraging Young Creators
The festival shone a spotlight on budding talent, particularly through the launch of Azaad Parindey, a poetry collection featuring works by young authors. Additionally, Kavya Kshitij, a compilation of poetry by Kshitij members, was unveiled, symbolizing the platform’s commitment to nurturing creativity in all its forms.

A key highlight was the discussion on Padma Shri Dr. Shovana Narayan’s book Kathak Lok, where the celebrated dancer shared her journey as a disciple of Pandit Birju Maharaj. Her insights into Kathak as an art form added depth and grace to the festival.
The first day also featured the launch of a calendar and a captivating ramp walk by KFL finalists, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate six successful years of Kshitij.
Indian Iconic Poet Season 6: A Literary Extravaganza
The festival’s second day, December 22, at Muktdhara Auditorium, Delhi, marked the grand celebration of Indian Iconic Poet Season 6. Fifteen selected poets from across the country mesmerized the audience with their stellar performances, filling the hall with applause and admiration.
Mrs. Babita Nagar from Bhopal emerged as the winner, followed by Mr. Hemant Goyal from Agra and Kartik Malhotra from Kanpur in second and third places, respectively.
Participation of Distinguished Guests
The event was graced by luminaries from various fields, including Mr. Gaurav Gupta (President, Lions Club), Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor (Chairman, The Sports Grail), Mr. Sanjay Sah (Regional Head, Dabur), renowned author Neeti Parthi, TEDx speaker Major Mohammad Ali Shah, and Dr. Manju Mehta from Bhopal.
The festival honored distinguished guests with National Literary Awards and Women Achievers Awards, acknowledging their contributions to literature and society.

The audience was treated to mesmerizing performances, including a soulful song by Ansh Rajoura and an inspiring dance presentation by differently-abled children from Prateek School.
