Lt Gen Manjinder Singh Reviews Operational Preparedness during Visit to Tanot Brigade and Elite Russel Vipers
Jaipur/Tanot, 3 July 2025: In a significant visit aimed at reviewing operational readiness and promoting technological advancements, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of the prestigious Sapta Shakti Command, visited the strategically vital Tanot Brigade and the elite formation, Russel Vipers.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed in detail on the wide spectrum of operational, training, welfare, and administrative initiatives being undertaken by the formation to enhance operational effectiveness along India’s western front.
High Praise for Professionalism and Readiness
Lt Gen Manjinder Singh lauded the unwavering dedication, exemplary professionalism, and high operational standards displayed by all ranks of the Tanot Brigade and Russel Vipers. He appreciated the relentless efforts of the formation in bolstering combat readiness, fostering technological absorption, and prioritising troop welfare, ensuring the formation remains a cutting-edge combat unit within the Indian Army.
Special Focus on Technological Initiatives
One of the key highlights of the visit was the Army Commander’s keen interest in the formation’s forward-looking initiatives. These included the development of dedicated drone infrastructure, crucial for enhancing surveillance, reconnaissance, and operational capabilities in the desert terrain.
The Army Commander was also briefed about measures undertaken to absorb modern technologies into day-to-day operations, thereby strengthening combat effectiveness and situational awareness. Another notable initiative was the establishment of an Integrated Health Centre, which is playing a vital role in improving medical support and welfare facilities for troops deployed in the harsh border environment.
Emphasis on Future-Ready Forces
In his address to officers, JCOs, and soldiers, Lt Gen Singh exhorted all ranks to remain fully prepared for emerging warfare scenarios. He emphasised the importance of continuously reviewing and upgrading training standards through war-gamed tactics, evolving techniques, procedures, and the seamless integration of niche technologies.
The Army Commander highlighted that modern battlefields demand technologically adaptive, physically robust, and mentally resilient soldiers, and urged all ranks to adopt an innovation-driven approach to operations and training.
Reaffirmation of Confidence in the Formation
Lt Gen Singh reaffirmed his full confidence in the capabilities of the Tanot Brigade and Russel Vipers. He commended their collective resolve, team spirit, and dedication to duty, which have consistently ensured the successful execution of all missions and objectives under Sapta Shakti Command.
The visit underscored the Indian Army’s unwavering focus on combat preparedness, technological advancement, troop welfare, and maintaining a formidable defence posture along the western borders.

तनोट ब्रिगेड एवं ‘रसेल वाइपर्स’ के दौरे पर पहुंचे सप्त शक्ति कमांड के आर्मी कमांडर, संचालनात्मक तैयारियों की समीक्षा
जयपुर/तनोट, 03 जुलाई 2025। भारतीय सेना की सप्त शक्ति कमांड के आर्मी कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनजिंदर सिंह ने तनोट ब्रिगेड एवं अत्यंत विशिष्ट ‘रसेल वाइपर्स’ का दौरा किया। यह दौरा ना केवल संचालनात्मक तैयारियों की समीक्षा का प्रतीक रहा, बल्कि सेना द्वारा नवाचार, तकनीकी समावेशन एवं सैनिक कल्याण के प्रति मजबूत प्रतिबद्धता को भी दर्शाता है।
तनोट, जो रणनीतिक दृष्टि से भारत-पाकिस्तान सीमा पर अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण स्थान पर स्थित है, वहां तैनात ब्रिगेड के अधिकारियों ने आर्मी कमांडर को ऑपरेशनल, प्रशिक्षण, प्रशासनिक एवं कल्याण से जुड़ी पहलों की विस्तृत जानकारी दी।
संचालनात्मक तत्परता और पेशेवर दक्षता की सराहना
लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनजिंदर सिंह ने तनोट ब्रिगेड एवं ‘रसेल वाइपर्स’ के सभी रैंकों द्वारा प्रदर्शित उच्च स्तर की पेशेवर दक्षता, समर्पण और संचालनात्मक तत्परता की प्रशंसा की। उन्होंने कहा कि फार्मेशन की लगातार मेहनत और दृढ़ संकल्प ने इस क्षेत्र में भारत की रक्षा व्यवस्था को अत्यंत सशक्त किया है।
ड्रोन इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर एवं तकनीकी समावेशन पर विशेष जोर
दौरे के दौरान आर्मी कमांडर ने फार्मेशन द्वारा उठाए गए भविष्य दृष्टि वाले प्रयासों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया। इसमें विशेष रूप से ड्रोन इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर का विकास शामिल है, जिससे रेगिस्तानी सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में निगरानी, टोही और ऑपरेशनल क्षमता में महत्वपूर्ण बढ़ोतरी हुई है।
तकनीकी समावेशन के तहत फार्मेशन ने अत्याधुनिक तकनीकों को अपनाकर युद्ध कौशल और संचालनात्मक दक्षता में इजाफा किया है। वहीं, स्थापित किया गया इंटीग्रेटेड हेल्थ सेंटर सैनिकों के स्वास्थ्य एवं कल्याण में बड़ी भूमिका निभा रहा है, जो सीमावर्ती दुर्गम क्षेत्रों में अत्यंत आवश्यक है।
बदलती युद्ध प्रणाली के अनुरूप तैयार रहने का आह्वान
सभी अधिकारियों, जूनियर कमीशंड अधिकारियों एवं सैनिकों को संबोधित करते हुए लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल सिंह ने कहा कि बदलते समय में युद्ध की प्रकृति भी तेजी से बदल रही है। उन्होंने सभी रैंकों से अपने प्रशिक्षण मानकों की लगातार समीक्षा करने, युद्ध अभ्यासों, टैक्टिक्स, टेक्नीक्स एवं आधुनिक तकनीकों को अपनाने पर जोर दिया।
उन्होंने कहा कि आज का सैनिक केवल फिजिकल रूप से ही नहीं, बल्कि तकनीकी रूप से भी दक्ष एवं मानसिक रूप से सजग होना चाहिए, तभी हमारी सेना भविष्य की चुनौतियों का मजबूती से सामना कर सकेगी।
फार्मेशन की क्षमताओं पर भरोसा
लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनजिंदर सिंह ने तनोट ब्रिगेड एवं रसेल वाइपर्स की क्षमताओं पर पूरा भरोसा व्यक्त करते हुए उनकी टीम भावना, अनुशासन और राष्ट्र सेवा के प्रति निष्ठा की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि यह फार्मेशन सदैव राष्ट्र की सीमाओं की सुरक्षा, संचालनात्मक सफलता एवं सैनिक कल्याण में अग्रणी भूमिका निभाती रहेगी।
यह दौरा सप्त शक्ति कमांड की युद्धक तत्परता, नवाचार और सैनिक कल्याण के प्रति गहरी प्रतिबद्धता का मजबूत प्रतीक बना। सप्त शक्ति कमांड, जिसका मुख्यालय जयपुर में स्थित है, भारत की पश्चिमी सीमाओं पर रक्षा का सशक्त प्रहरी बना हुआ है। तनोट ब्रिगेड एवं रसेल वाइपर्स जैसे फार्मेशन इसकी शक्ति और गौरव का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं।
