Magnificent Inauguration of Tamil Nadu Forum of iSPELL India
With fast pace, Indian Society for the Promotion of English Language and Literature (iSPELL) has spread its wings in the sky covering the whole country from North to South and East to West fascinating the sponsors and intelligentsia. To add on in this academicians and research scholars of English Fraternity of Tamil Nadu initiated and assembled on a virtual platform of Zoom and formally formed a Forum of iSPELL India in Tamil Nadu that is the eighth forum of iSPELL till now.
At the onset Prof. G A Ghanshyam, Founder and General Secretary of iSPELL India and Professor of English, Directorate of Higher Education, Raipur, Chhattisgarh with his inspiring and thought provoking words set a progressive ambience to do better for literary fraternity of English in specific and for natives in general with humanistic approach. He familiarized the noble gathering of literarians with the vision and mission of the society iSPELL. He further elaborated how the idea of iSPELL occurred during pandemic time and how it was dreamt, planned and executed without being exhausted or taking a halt in between conducting events at frequent intervals.
Dr. S. Jayanthi, Convener of Tamil Nadu Forum and Assistant Professor of English, SRNM College, Sattur exhibited gratefulness towards Prof. Ghanshyam for how he kindled the desire for establishment of a forum at Tamil Nadu providing all support and guidance. She being the coordinator of the event coordinated it well for the initiation of academic activities at Tamil Nadu.
Further Pramod M. Dhengle, IT Coordinator, iSPELL India and Assistant Professor of English, Dr. T K Tope Arts & Commerce College, Mumbai formally inaugurated iSPELL Tamil Nadu Forum highlighting iSPELL’s achievements till date in the auspicious presence of Dr S. Samuel Rufus, Assistant Professor of English, Madras Christian College, Chennai as the Keynote Speaker and Dr. T. S. Varadharajan, Assistant Professor of English, Thiagarajar College, Madurai as the Chairperson.
Dr. S. Samuel Rufus deliberated perfectly on the topic entitled “The Latent Liberative Power in Theory: An Overview” and Dr. T. S. Varadharajan summed up the session with additional contributions to kick start academic activities at the forum. In addition, they wholeheartedly praised the pains taken to open the forum by literarians of Tamil Nadu. As Master of Ceremony Dr U. Fatima, Assistant Professor of English, SRNM College, Sattur proceeded the session skillfully making it reach till destination. Prof. Ghanshyam honored the guests with certificates and wished the forum for fruitful endeavors.
Dr. Jayanthi further proposed a formal vote of thanks to one and all. A deep sense of thankfulness was expressed for all esteemed members of Executive Committee of iSPELL India especially towards Mr Pramod M. Dhengle and Dr Shalini Yadav for their timely assistance; for being very supportive through the course to establish the forum and for sorting out all the issues and doubts regarding it to conduct the meet successfully on a virtual platform. She also thanked K Maheshini, Research Scholar, SRNM College, Sattur for all assistance. She further assured the august assembly of literarians that iSPELL Tamil Nadu Forum would create a difference with many literary activities in future.
Literati saw the glorious inauguration of iSPELL Tamil Nadu Forum all over the country via various modes of social media including Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube. As a splendid event finally it came to an end with a ray of hope to uplift all together with iSPELL’s signature tagline ‘Facilitate to Elevate’.
