The Officers’ Advance Course in Electronics & Communications OALE (C)–50 concluded at the MCEME, Secunderabad, marking the successful culmination of advanced technical training for officers.
Closing Address by Commandant
The course concluded with an address by Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney, Commandant MCEME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME.
He emphasised:
- The changing nature of warfare
- Communications as the backbone of modern network-centric operations
- Growing importance of quantum and satellite communications
- Role of 5G, secrecy devices and Software Defined Radios (SDR)
He also highlighted the need for:
- Strong technical knowledge and innovation
- Effective leadership and management of troops

The project ‘Secure Drone Communication System’, developed by a team of officers including Maj Suresh Suragani and Maj A C Kumbhar, was adjudged the Best Project.

The course highlighted the Indian Army’s focus on building technologically proficient officers capable of leading in a digitally driven battlefield, reinforcing readiness for future multi-domain operations.
