Massive Crackdown on Fake Fertilizers in Rajasthan: Agriculture Minister Raids Bikaner Factory, Seizes 468 Quintals of Banned Product Worth Crores

In a major breakthrough against the black market of counterfeit agricultural inputs, Rajasthan’s Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena conducted a surprise raid on a fertilizer warehouse in Bikaner’s Samta Nagar, unearthing a massive consignment of 468 quintals of banned and counterfeit fertilizers falsely marketed under popular brand names. The seized stock is estimated to be worth several crores of rupees.
On Saturday, Minister Meena personally led the inspection team to Godara Agro Industries, a facility suspected of storing prohibited agro-chemicals. Upon investigation, the team discovered a large cache of fertilizers being falsely sold under the names of reputed brands like IFFCO and Sagarika, with fake labeling designed to mislead innocent farmers.
“This fertilizer is not only completely prohibited, but its usage can permanently damage agricultural land and destroy crops,” warned Minister Kirori Lal Meena, addressing the press after the raid.
A Statewide Mission Against Counterfeit Agri Inputs
This action is part of a broader crackdown initiated by Minister Meena, who has been actively leading a statewide campaign against the sale of fake seeds and fertilizers. Similar raids and actions were recently carried out in districts such as Kota, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Bharatpur, and Sri Ganganagar, where large storage hubs of illegal agri-inputs were dismantled and culprits arrested.
In Bikaner, the illegally imported consignment from Gujarat was being repackaged and distributed under the guise of biostimulants—a category meant to improve plant health but being misused here to distribute prohibited chemical compounds.
Legal Action Underway, Samples Sent for Testing
Following the discovery, local law enforcement registered a criminal case against the owners of Godara Agro Industries. Samples of the seized fertilizer have been sent for chemical analysis and confirmation of their banned status.
Minister Meena stated, “The state government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards elements exploiting farmers. Any person found guilty of selling fake fertilizers, seeds, or pesticides will have their license revoked immediately and be jailed under strict provisions of the law.”
He also warned that all supply chain links, including transporters and distributors associated with this operation, would be investigated thoroughly.
Appeal to Farmers: Stay Vigilant
The Agriculture Minister appealed to all farmers in the state to be cautious while purchasing fertilizers and seeds. He urged them to check details such as the brand name, batch number, license number, manufacturing and expiry dates, and quality certifications.
“Any suspicion should be reported without delay to the Agriculture Department or local police,” he said, adding that collective awareness is the key to defeating this nexus of fake agricultural inputs that jeopardize food security and farmers’ livelihood.

राजस्थान के किसानों को ठगने वाले नकली खाद माफियाओं के खिलाफ एक और बड़ी कार्रवाई में प्रदेश के कृषि मंत्री किरोड़ी लाल मीणा ने बीकानेर के समता नगर स्थित एक बड़े गोदाम पर छापा मारकर 468 क्विंटल प्रतिबंधित और नकली फर्टिलाइज़र जब्त किया। इस माल की कीमत कई करोड़ रुपये बताई जा रही है।
शनिवार को मंत्री मीणा ने खुद गोडारा एग्रो इंडस्ट्रीज पर यह छापा मारा। यहां बायोस्टुमलेंट के नाम पर खतरनाक और प्रतिबंधित रसायनों को नकली ब्रांड लेबल के जरिए किसानों को बेचा जा रहा था। मंत्री ने बताया कि यह माल गुजरात से बीकानेर पहुंचाया गया था, जिसे इफको और सागरिका जैसे प्रसिद्ध ब्रांडों के नाम से मार्केट में उतारा जा रहा था।
मंत्री मीणा ने कहा, “यह खाद पूरी तरह से प्रतिबंधित है और इसके उपयोग से किसानों की जमीन बंजर हो सकती है, फसलें पूरी तरह से खराब हो सकती हैं।”
नकली खाद व बीज के खिलाफ राज्यव्यापी अभियान
यह कार्रवाई मंत्री किरोड़ी लाल मीणा द्वारा राज्यभर में चलाए जा रहे नकली खाद और बीज के खिलाफ विशेष अभियान का हिस्सा है। इससे पहले वे कोटा, झुंझुनूं, नागौर, भरतपुर और श्रीगंगानगर में भी इसी तरह की कार्रवाई कर चुके हैं। इन सभी मामलों में बड़े स्तर पर नकली उत्पाद जब्त किए गए और दोषियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया।
बीकानेर की इस फैक्ट्री में गुजरात से प्रतिबंधित फर्टिलाइज़र लाकर उसे बायोस्टुमलेंट के रूप में बेचने की साजिश रची गई थी। कृषि विभाग ने स्थानीय पुलिस के साथ संयुक्त कार्रवाई करते हुए फैक्ट्री से सैकड़ों बैग प्रतिबंधित खाद जब्त किए।
कानूनी कार्रवाई शुरू, नमूने जांच के लिए भेजे गए
मौके से बरामद प्रतिबंधित खाद के नमूने परीक्षण के लिए प्रयोगशाला भेजे गए हैं। पुलिस ने फैक्ट्री मालिकों के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज कर ली है और मामले की गहन जांच शुरू कर दी गई है। सरकार अब इस नेटवर्क से जुड़े ट्रांसपोर्टर, वितरक और विक्रेताओं की भी जांच करेगी।
मंत्री मीणा ने स्पष्ट किया, “राज्य सरकार किसानों के दुश्मनों के खिलाफ जीरो टॉलरेंस नीति अपना रही है। जो भी व्यक्ति नकली खाद या बीज बेचते हुए पकड़ा जाएगा, उसका लाइसेंस रद्द कर जेल भेजा जाएगा।”
किसानों से अपील: सतर्क रहें और जांच करें
कृषि मंत्री ने प्रदेश के सभी किसानों से अपील की है कि वे खाद और बीज खरीदते समय सावधानी बरतें। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्पाद के ब्रांड, बैच नंबर, निर्माण और समाप्ति तिथि, लाइसेंस नंबर, गुणवत्ता प्रमाणपत्र आदि अवश्य जांच लें।
“अगर किसी भी खाद, बीज या कीटनाशक को लेकर संदेह हो, तो तुरंत कृषि विभाग या नजदीकी पुलिस थाने को सूचित करें,” मंत्री मीणा ने कहा।
