In a landmark moment that reflects India’s steady march towards human spaceflight, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh met Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla—the first Indian astronaut to serve onboard the International Space Station (ISS)—in New Delhi on August 21, 2025. Gp Capt Shubhanshu Shukla’s sojourn aboard the ISS marked a watershed moment in India’s human spaceflight programme. The Raksha Mantri underlined the pivotal role of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in India’s space programme. From astronaut selection and rigorous training to mission support, the IAF has been a core partner of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). भारत के अंतरिक्ष अभियान के इतिहास में 21 अगस्त 2025 का दिन एक नया अध्याय लेकर आया। रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह ने नई दिल्ली में ग्रुप कैप्टन शुभांशु शुक्ला से मुलाकात की, जो अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन (ISS) पर पहुँचने वाले पहले भारतीय अंतरिक्ष यात्री बने। यह मुलाकात न केवल व्यक्तिगत उपलब्धि का सम्मान थी बल्कि भारत की मानवीय अंतरिक्ष उड़ान (Human Spaceflight) क्षमता की बड़ी उपलब्धि का प्रतीक भी रही।

भारत की अंतरिक्ष यात्रा का ऐतिहासिक क्षण
