‘Shaurya Jat Research Institute’ Inaugurated at Kolasar, Sujangarh — A Historic Initiative to Preserve the Glorious Legacy of the Jat Community

In a remarkable step to revive the cultural, historical, and social pride of Rajasthan’s valorous Jat community, the ‘Shaurya Jat Research Institute’ was inaugurated today in Kolasar village under Sujangarh tehsil of Churu district. The grand ceremony marked a historic milestone in community-driven scholarship, symbolizing the collective pride and intellectual resurgence of the Jat society.
The inauguration was carried out by Dharmendra Kilak, the State President of the Rashtriya Jat Mahasabha, in the presence of hundreds of villagers, social activists, youth organizations, and women’s groups. The event resonated with a deep sense of pride, unity, and remembrance of the Jat community’s enduring role in India’s defence, agriculture, and reform movements.
A Grand Beginning on the Land of Courage
The Sujangarh region — often called the Land of Shaurya (Valour) — witnessed an inspiring convergence of tradition and intellect as the new research institute was unveiled amid resounding cheers and folk rhythms. The gathering became a symbol of how community-driven initiatives can rekindle a sense of history and identity.
Among the dignitaries present were Tulcharam Kukna, President of the Bhartiya Kisan Union Sarpanch Sangh (Rajasthan); Bhooraram Guleria, Sanwarlal Teterwal, Bhawan Singh, Surendra Jat, along with several veterans, scholars, and prominent social figures from across the state.
The founder of the institute, Subedar Ramniwas Jat, who conceived the idea and brought it to life, described the initiative as “a milestone for the generations to come”. Speaking on the occasion, he said:
“This institute is not just a building — it is the preservation of the soul of our community. It will become a living archive of our bravery, our contribution to the nation, and the values that shaped us.”
Dharmendra Kilak’s Vision: “Connecting Youth with Their Roots”
The chief guest, Dharmendra Kilak, officially inaugurated the Shaurya Jat Research Institute by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Later, he unveiled the official poster of the institute at the Rashtriya Jat Mahasabha’s state office.
In his address, Kilak paid rich tributes to the Jat community’s historical contributions, stating:
“For centuries, our community has stood at the forefront of India’s defence, agriculture, and social reform. In today’s times, when the younger generation is drifting away from its roots, the establishment of such an institute will reconnect them with their glorious heritage and values.”
He further emphasized that the initiative taken in a rural heartland like Kolasar will inspire similar cultural revival efforts across Rajasthan, praising Subedar Ramniwas Jat for his vision and dedication to preserving the collective memory of the community.
A Centre for Historical, Cultural and Social Research
The Shaurya Jat Research Institute aims to serve as a comprehensive repository of the Jat community’s history, heroism, and social evolution. The institute’s primary mission is to compile and preserve the stories of Jat warriors, freedom fighters, agrarian leaders, and social reformers through rigorous documentation and academic research.
According to the founder Subedar Ramniwas Jat, the institute will house a vast collection of rare books, handwritten manuscripts, and archival records related to Jat history. It will also include digital archives to make the information accessible to researchers, students, and scholars worldwide.
The institute will not be limited to history alone — it will also document folk traditions, oral heritage, local songs, customs, and agricultural practices, reflecting the deep-rooted relationship between the Jat community and the land it nurtured.
“Our aim is not only to safeguard history,” Ramniwas Jat said, “but also to inspire the youth with a sense of pride in their identity and encourage them to contribute positively to society. In time, this institute will evolve into a national-level research centre.”
Youth and Women Take the Lead: A New Social Awakening
The inauguration ceremony showcased active participation from the youth and women of Kolasar and nearby villages. Students, cultural groups, and local artists presented folk dances, traditional Jat ballads, and patriotic performances, transforming the event into a vibrant festival of community spirit.
Women’s organizations emphasized the need to recognize female contributions in Jat history and announced plans to establish a dedicated women’s research division within the institute in the near future.
Addressing the gathering, Tulcharam Kukna highlighted the institute’s significance beyond academia:
“This is not just a centre for historical research — it is the beginning of a social renaissance. This initiative will connect us to our roots while guiding us toward an empowered, self-reliant future.”
The villagers of Kolasar, dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire, welcomed guests with a grand procession accompanied by drums and folk music. The entire village turned into a celebration ground — a testament to how deeply the initiative resonated with the people.
Kolasar — From a Village to a Symbol of Pride
Local elders described the event as “a day that will be remembered in history.” For the first time, a rural area became home to a dedicated research institution focused entirely on Jat heritage and history.
Several donors and well-wishers contributed rare documents, books, and archives to enrich the institute’s library. The village sarpanch and youth associations also pledged continuous support for the development and expansion of the centre.
“Shaurya Jat Research Institute is not merely a building,” remarked one local teacher, “it is a bridge between our glorious past and an inspired future. It will remind us that heritage and progress must go hand in hand.”
A Future Vision Rooted in Pride and Scholarship
Looking ahead, Subedar Ramniwas Jat announced a series of upcoming initiatives that the institute will undertake, including:
- Jat History Week to promote awareness of historical milestones.
- Youth Leadership Workshops to cultivate social responsibility among young members.
- Shaurya Symposiums featuring historians, sociologists, and academicians from across the country.
He also expressed the hope that the institute would one day collaborate with national universities and archives to bring mainstream recognition to the Jat community’s invaluable contributions to India’s development and defence.
A Celebration of Identity, Unity, and Knowledge
The inauguration of the Shaurya Jat Research Institute was not merely the start of an academic venture — it was a symbolic declaration of identity, pride, and purpose. It embodied the Jat community’s commitment to education, unity, and social awareness.
By the end of the ceremony, Kolasar — a small village on the map — had transformed into a “pilgrimage of Jat pride”, echoing with slogans of unity, songs of valour, and the determination to keep the flame of heritage burning bright.

सुजानगढ़ के कोलासर गांव में ‘शौर्य जाट शोध संस्थान’ का भव्य उद्घाटन — जाट समाज की गौरवशाली विरासत को संरक्षित करने की ऐतिहासिक पहल
सुजानगढ़ (चूरू), रविवार, 2 नवम्बर 2025
राजस्थान की शौर्य भूमि पर इतिहास, संस्कृति और समाज के गौरव को पुनर्जीवित करने की दिशा में एक प्रेरक कदम उठाते हुए सुजानगढ़ तहसील के कोलासर गांव में रविवार को ‘शौर्य जाट शोध संस्थान’ का भव्य उद्घाटन हुआ। यह आयोजन न केवल एक संस्थान की स्थापना थी, बल्कि यह जाट समाज के सामूहिक आत्मगौरव और बौद्धिक जागरण का प्रतीक बन गया।
इस ऐतिहासिक समारोह का उद्घाटन राष्ट्रीय जाट महासभा के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष धर्मेन्द्र किलक द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर बड़ी संख्या में ग्रामीणों, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं, युवाओं और महिला संगठनों ने भाग लिया। समारोह ने एक नई चेतना को जन्म दिया — कि समाज का उत्थान उसके इतिहास की जड़ों में ही निहित है।
शौर्य की भूमि पर इतिहास का पुनर्जागरण
सुजानगढ़ क्षेत्र, जिसे प्राचीन काल से ही “शौर्य भूमि” कहा जाता है, ने रविवार को एक अद्भुत दृश्य देखा। पारंपरिक लोकधुनों, जयघोषों और रंग-बिरंगे झंडों के बीच शौर्य जाट शोध संस्थान का उद्घाटन हुआ। इस आयोजन ने यह संदेश दिया कि ग्रामीण क्षेत्र भी ज्ञान और शोध के केंद्र बन सकते हैं।
समारोह में भारतीय किसान यूनियन सरपंच संघ (राजस्थान) के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष तुलछाराम कुकणा, भूराराम गुलेरिया, सांवरमल तेतरवाल, भवानी सिंह, सुरेंद्र जाट, सहित कई पूर्व सैनिक, शिक्षाविद और सामाजिक प्रतिनिधि उपस्थित रहे।
संस्थान के संस्थापक सू. रामनिवास जाट (से. नि. सुबेदार) ने इस अवसर पर कहा —
“यह संस्थान केवल ईंट-पत्थरों से बना भवन नहीं है, बल्कि यह हमारे समाज की आत्मा को संरक्षित करने का संकल्प है। यहां से आने वाली पीढ़ियां यह जानेंगी कि जाट समाज ने भारत की रक्षा, कृषि और सुधार की हर दिशा में कैसी भूमिका निभाई।”
धर्मेन्द्र किलक का संदेश: ‘अपनी जड़ों से जुड़ना ही समाज की असली शक्ति’
मुख्य अतिथि धर्मेन्द्र किलक ने दीप प्रज्ज्वलित कर संस्थान का औपचारिक उद्घाटन किया और राष्ट्रीय जाट महासभा के प्रदेश कार्यालय में इसका पोस्टर भी जारी किया।
उन्होंने अपने उद्बोधन में कहा —
“हमारा समाज सदियों से भारत की सुरक्षा, खेती और समाज सुधार का अग्रदूत रहा है। जब युवा पीढ़ी अपनी जड़ों से दूर जा रही है, तब यह शोध संस्थान उन्हें उनके गौरवशाली इतिहास से जोड़ने का माध्यम बनेगा।”
किलक ने कोलासर जैसे ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में इस पहल को पूरे राज्य के लिए उदाहरण बताया और संस्थापक रामनिवास जाट की दूरदर्शिता की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह कदम “सामाजिक चेतना के पुनर्जागरण की शुरुआत” है।
इतिहास, संस्कृति और समाज का संगम बनेगा ‘शौर्य जाट शोध संस्थान’
यह संस्थान जाट समाज के इतिहास, शौर्य और सामाजिक योगदान का संग्राहक केंद्र बनेगा। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य है — वीर योद्धाओं, स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों, किसान नेताओं और समाज सुधारकों के जीवन और योगदान का वैज्ञानिक दस्तावेज़ीकरण।
संस्थान में दुर्लभ पुस्तकें, हस्तलिखित पांडुलिपियाँ, पुरालेख और डिजिटल आर्काइव्स तैयार किए जा रहे हैं, ताकि शोधकर्ता और विद्यार्थी आने वाले वर्षों में यहां से प्रेरणा ले सकें।
संस्थापक रामनिवास जाट ने कहा —
“हम केवल इतिहास को सहेजना नहीं चाहते, बल्कि युवाओं में समाज के प्रति गर्व और जिम्मेदारी का भाव जगाना चाहते हैं। आने वाले समय में यह संस्थान राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पहचान बनाएगा।”
संस्थान में समाज की लोक परंपराओं, लोकगीतों, कृषि संस्कृति, और ग्रामीण जीवनशैली से जुड़ा संग्रह भी तैयार किया जा रहा है ताकि यह केवल इतिहास नहीं, बल्कि जीवंत विरासत का दर्पण बने।
युवाओं और महिलाओं की सक्रिय भागीदारी — नई चेतना का उदय
उद्घाटन समारोह में कोलासर और आसपास के गांवों के युवाओं ने पारंपरिक लोकनृत्य, वीरता गीत और देशभक्ति प्रस्तुतियों से समारोह को जीवंत बना दिया। महिलाओं ने भी नारी शक्ति के सम्मान और समाज में महिलाओं की भूमिका पर बल देते हुए संस्थान में ‘महिला इतिहास शोध अनुभाग’ जोड़ने की घोषणा की।
कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित तुलछाराम कुकणा ने कहा —
“यह संस्थान केवल इतिहास का नहीं, बल्कि सामाजिक जागरण का केंद्र बनेगा। यह हमें हमारी जड़ों से जोड़कर आत्मनिर्भर समाज की दिशा दिखाएगा।”
पूरे गांव में उत्सव जैसा माहौल था। ग्रामीणों ने पारंपरिक पोशाकों में स्वागत जुलूस निकाला, अतिथियों का ढोल-नगाड़ों के साथ अभिनंदन किया। बुजुर्गों ने कहा — “आज का दिन इतिहास में दर्ज रहेगा, क्योंकि पहली बार किसी ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में जाट इतिहास को समर्पित शोध संस्थान की स्थापना हुई है।”
कोलासर — अब जाट गौरव का तीर्थस्थल
संस्थान की स्थापना के साथ ही कोलासर गांव इतिहास में अंकित हो गया। दानदाताओं ने संस्थान को समृद्ध करने के लिए दुर्लभ ग्रंथ, अभिलेख और पुस्तकें भेंट कीं। स्थानीय सरपंच, युवाओं और समाजसेवियों ने इसके विकास में सहयोग का वादा किया।
एक स्थानीय शिक्षक ने कहा —
“यह संस्थान अतीत और भविष्य के बीच का पुल है। यह हमें याद दिलाएगा कि विरासत को सहेजना और प्रगति के साथ चलना — दोनों समान रूप से जरूरी हैं।”
भविष्य की योजनाएँ — शोध से समाज तक
संस्थान के संस्थापक रामनिवास जाट ने बताया कि आने वाले महीनों में यहां ‘जाट इतिहास सप्ताह’, ‘युवा नेतृत्व कार्यशाला’ और ‘शौर्य संगोष्ठी’ जैसे आयोजन किए जाएंगे, जिनमें देशभर के इतिहासकार, समाजशास्त्री और शिक्षाविद शामिल होंगे।
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि संस्थान का उद्देश्य भविष्य में राष्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालयों और अभिलेखागारों से सहयोग स्थापित करना है, ताकि जाट समाज के योगदान को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पहचान मिले।
ज्ञान, एकता और स्वाभिमान का उत्सव
‘शौर्य जाट शोध संस्थान’ का उद्घाटन केवल एक अकादमिक पहल नहीं, बल्कि समाज की पहचान, गर्व और उद्देश्य की घोषणा था। इसने दिखाया कि शिक्षा और इतिहास के माध्यम से समाज खुद को पुनः संगठित कर सकता है।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में कोलासर गांव “जाट गौरव का तीर्थस्थल” बन गया — जहां एकता के नारे, वीरता के गीत और स्वाभिमान की ध्वनि गूंज उठी।
जैसे ही सूर्य सुजानगढ़ की धरती पर ढला, एक बात स्पष्ट हो गई —
“शौर्य जाट शोध संस्थान केवल अतीत का स्मारक नहीं, बल्कि भविष्य की दिशा दिखाने वाला दीपस्तंभ है।”
