The Headquarters South Western Command (Sapta Shakti Command) witnessed a dignified and ceremonial celebration of the 75th Navy Day, honouring the unmatched courage, maritime excellence and wartime legacy of the Indian Navy. The event, held at the Command Headquarters in Jaipur, brought together distinguished military leaders, veterans and serving personnel, marking a powerful display of India’s tri-service unity and joint operational ethos.
A Day Honouring India’s Naval Bravery and Maritime Supremacy
Navy Day is observed every year on 4 December to commemorate one of the most decisive and daring operations in India’s military history—Operation Trident, when the Indian Navy launched a surprise missile attack on the Karachi Harbour during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, crippling Pakistan’s naval capability.
This historic victory continues to inspire generations of naval warriors and reminds the nation of the Navy’s pivotal role in securing India’s maritime frontiers.

मुख्यालय दक्षिण पश्चिमी कमान (सप्त शक्ति कमान), जयपुर में 75वां नौसेना दिवस अत्यंत गरिमा और सम्मान के साथ मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर भारतीय नौसेना की समुद्री वीरता, ऑपरेशनल उत्कृष्टता और 1971 के युद्ध की ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धियों को याद किया गया। कार्यक्रम में नौसेना के पूर्व प्रमुख, वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारी, पूर्व सैनिक और सभी रैंकों के अधिकारी शामिल हुए, जिससे त्रि-सेवा एकता और संयुक्त ऑपरेशनल सोच का सशक्त प्रदर्शन हुआ।
भारत की समुद्री वीरता और सामरिक श्रेष्ठता को समर्पित दिवस
प्रत्येक वर्ष 4 दिसंबर को मनाया जाने वाला नौसेना दिवस, भारतीय नौसेना के साहसिक ऑपरेशन—ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट—की स्मृति में मनाया जाता है।
1971 के भारत–पाक युद्ध के दौरान भारतीय नौसेना ने कराची बंदरगाह पर रातोंरात किए गए इस मिसाइल हमले से पाकिस्तान की नौसैनिक क्षमता को ध्वस्त कर दिया था।
