बीकानेर। रेगिस्तान की रेत में जब इतिहास की परतें खुलती हैं, तो हर कण में अतीत की गूंज सुनाई देती है। बीकानेर शहर एक बार फिर इतिहास के रंग में रंग गया जब यहां तीन दिवसीय ‘बीकाणा मुद्रा महोत्सव’ का आयोजन हुआ। इस अनूठी प्रदर्शनी ने न केवल शहरी जनमानस को आकर्षित किया बल्कि ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों से भी बड़ी संख्या में दर्शकों ने शिरकत की।

प्रदर्शनी में प्राचीन सिक्कों, दुर्लभ नोटों और ऐतिहासिक डाक टिकटों की ऐसी झलक देखने को मिली, जो विरासत की महत्ता को पुनः स्थापित करती है। बीकानेर राजघराने से जुड़े सिक्के, शाही मेडल्स, रियासत कालीन दस्तावेज, और तत्कालीन समय के रेडियो, टेलीविजन, टाइपराइटर और यहां तक कि साइकिल के लाइसेंस भी इस आयोजन का प्रमुख आकर्षण बने।

इस महोत्सव में देशभर के 64 शहरों से प्रतिभागियों ने हिस्सा लिया, जिनमें बेंगलुरु, सूरत, कोलकाता, मुंबई जैसे महानगरों के अलावा इंडोनेशिया से आए मुद्रा संग्रहकर्ताओं ने भी अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज करवाई।

प्रदर्शनी का सबसे अनूठा पहलू था इंडोनेशिया से आए संग्रहकर्ता ‘सूर्य’ द्वारा प्रदर्शित रामायण पर आधारित करेंसी। इन मुद्राओं पर हिंदू देवी-देवताओं के चित्रों और रामायण के दृश्यों को देखकर भारतीय दर्शक भाव-विभोर हो उठे। सूर्य ने बताया कि “इंडोनेशिया में आज भी रामायण को अत्यंत सम्मान के साथ सांस्कृतिक धरोहर की तरह संजोया गया है।”

प्रदर्शनी के संयोजक किशनलाल सोनी ने बताया कि इस आयोजन का उद्देश्य केवल संग्रहों का प्रदर्शन नहीं बल्कि इतिहास को जीवंत बनाना है। उन्होंने कहा, “हर सिक्का, हर नोट और हर टिकट अतीत की कोई कहानी कहता है। यह प्रदर्शनी स्मृतियों से सजी हुई एक जीवंत पुस्तक के समान है।”

महोत्सव में शामिल संग्रहकर्ताओं में 15 वर्षीय किशोर से लेकर 40 वर्षों से संग्रह कर रहे अनुभवी विशेषज्ञों तक की भागीदारी देखने को मिली। इन सभी ने अपने संग्रह के माध्यम से यह साबित किया कि विरासत सिर्फ संग्रह करने की वस्तु नहीं, बल्कि समाज की संस्कृति और पहचान की नींव होती है।

बीकाणा मुद्रा महोत्सव एक ऐसा आयोजन बनकर सामने आया, जिसने बीकानेर को न केवल ऐतिहासिक महत्व के पटल पर पुनः स्थापित किया, बल्कि युवाओं में भी विरासत के प्रति जागरूकता जगाने का कार्य किया।

Bikaner. The city of Bikaner once again echoed with the footsteps of history as it hosted the unique three-day ‘Bikana Coin Festival’. This extraordinary exhibition brought together a diverse range of ancient coins, rare currency notes, and historical postage stamps, drawing a large crowd from both urban and rural areas.

The highlight of the exhibition was not just the rare collection but the rich historical connection presented through coins, medals, and royal documents associated with the Bikaner royal family. Displayed items also included vintage radios, televisions, old gazette notifications, typewriters, bicycle licenses, and princely state papers – offering a treasure trove for history enthusiasts.

Participants from 64 cities across India, including Bengaluru, Surat, Kolkata, and Mumbai, along with international collectors from Indonesia, enriched the event with their unique collections, each narrating a fragment of the past.

One of the most fascinating displays came from Surya, a collector from Indonesia, who showcased Ramayana-themed Indonesian currency. These coins and notes, engraved with scenes from the Ramayana and depictions of Hindu deities, captivated Indian audiences. Surya shared, “The Ramayana continues to live in Indonesia, preserved as a part of our cultural heritage.”

Kishanlal Soni, the festival’s coordinator, emphasized that the objective of this event was not merely exhibition, but reviving the legacy of history. “Every coin, every note, every stamp tells a story. This exhibition is like a dialogue with the past, beautifully decorated with memories,” he remarked.

The event saw participation from collectors as young as 15 years old to veterans with over 40 years of experience, highlighting that coin and note collecting is not only a hobby but a means of preserving cultural roots and national identity.

The Bikana Coin Festival emerged as more than just a display—it became an interactive medium of historical consciousness and a platform where heritage met curiosity, breathing life into the forgotten pages of history.
