The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has declared the elevation of five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the 2005 batch, who are presently serving as Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to the position of Joint Director. The officers and their respective assignments are outlined as follows:
- S Veeresh Prabhu (IPS: 2005: MH) has been designated as Joint Director, CBI, with tenure until October 13, 2027.
- Rajiv Ranjan (IPS: 2005: SK) has been appointed as Joint Director, CBI, with tenure until May 30, 2026.
- Sumedha Dwivedi (IPS: 2005: HP) has been assigned as Joint Director, CBI, with tenure until February 7, 2029.
- Vijayendra Bidari (IPS: 2005: TN) has been appointed as Joint Director, CBI, with tenure until July 18, 2024.
- Sharada Raut (IPS: 2005: MH) has been designated as Joint Director, CBI, with tenure until July 25, 2024.
