Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, SYSM, PVSM, AVSM, VM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the South Western Air Command (SWAC), undertook a comprehensive two-day visit to Air Force Station Jaipur from December 12 to 13, 2025. The visit comes at a crucial time when the Indian Air Force continues to reinforce its operational preparedness and strategic vigilance across the western sector.
The senior air commander was received by Group Captain Vinay Bhardwaj, Station Commander, Air Force Station Jaipur, along with senior officers of the station. The visit reflected the Indian Air Force’s continuous emphasis on leadership engagement, ground-level assessment, and mission readiness in an evolving security environment.

During his visit, Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor conducted a detailed review of the operational preparedness of Air Force Station Jaipur, one of the key air bases under South Western Air Command. A major highlight of the visit was Air Marshal Kapoor’s appreciation of the exceptional professionalism and dedication displayed by Air Warriors during Operation Sindoor. Commending the flawless execution and operational excellence demonstrated during the operation, he acknowledged the collective efforts of pilots, ground crew, technical teams, and support staff.
He noted that Operation Sindoor stood as a testimony to the Indian Air Force’s capability to execute complex missions with precision, speed, and coordination. The AOC-in-C stressed that such operational successes are the result of sustained training, discipline, and unwavering commitment to duty, and called upon Air Warriors to continue upholding these high standards.
Emphasis on 24×7 Readiness and Professional Conduct
Reiterating the core ethos of the Indian Air Force, Air Marshal Kapoor strongly emphasised the necessity of 24×7 operational readiness. He reminded personnel that preparedness is not situational but continuous, requiring constant vigilance, technical excellence, and mental agility.
In addition, the AOC-in-C highlighted the growing importance of responsible use of social media in the digital age. He cautioned Air Warriors to remain security-conscious at all times, underlining that even inadvertent information leaks can have serious national security implications. He urged all ranks to strictly adhere to established protocols and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, both on and off duty.
Leadership Interaction and Motivation of Air Warriors
During his interaction with officers, airmen, and civilian staff, Air Marshal Kapoor acknowledged the demanding nature of modern air operations and the pressures faced by Air Force personnel. During the meeting, the AOC-in-C apprised the Governor about the Indian Air Force’s activities in the region and discussed matters of mutual interest related to defence preparedness and civil-military cooperation.
A key point of discussion was the forthcoming Fire Power Demonstration at Jaisalmer, an important event aimed at showcasing the Indian Air Force’s combat capabilities, operational synergy, and technological prowess. The demonstration is expected to highlight the IAF’s ability to project air power swiftly and decisively across the western theatre.

रणनीतिक महत्व के बीच वरिष्ठ वायु नेतृत्व का दौरा
दक्षिण पश्चिम वायु कमान (South Western Air Command – SWAC) के वायु अफसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ एयर मार्शल नगेश कपूर, एसवाईएसएम, पीवीएसएम, एवीएसएम, वीएम ने 12 से 13 दिसंबर 2025 तक वायु सेना स्टेशन जयपुर का विस्तृत और महत्वपूर्ण दौरा किया। यह दौरा ऐसे समय में हुआ है जब भारतीय वायु सेना पश्चिमी सीमाओं पर अपनी ऑपरेशनल सतर्कता, त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया क्षमता और युद्धक तैयारियों को और अधिक मज़बूत कर रही है। एयर मार्शल नगेश कपूर का आगमन न केवल कमान स्तर पर निगरानी का प्रतीक है, बल्कि यह जमीनी स्तर पर तैयारियों की वास्तविक समीक्षा का भी संकेत देता है।

एयर मार्शल नगेश कपूर के वायु सेना स्टेशन जयपुर पहुंचने पर स्टेशन कमांडर ग्रुप कैप्टन विनय भारद्वाज ने उनका स्वागत किया। इस दौरान स्टेशन के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी और प्रमुख शाखाओं के प्रतिनिधि भी उपस्थित रहे। स्वागत के पश्चात एयर मार्शल कपूर को स्टेशन की भूमिका, जिम्मेदारियों और वर्तमान ऑपरेशनल स्थिति से अवगत कराया गया।
ऑपरेशनल तैयारियों की गहन समीक्षा
दौरे के दौरान एयर मार्शल नगेश कपूर ने वायु सेना स्टेशन जयपुर की संपूर्ण ऑपरेशनल तैयारियों का बारीकी से निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने उड़ान संचालन, एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम, तकनीकी रखरखाव, लॉजिस्टिक सपोर्ट, रनवे और ग्राउंड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर की समीक्षा की। एयर मार्शल कपूर ने स्पष्ट किया कि भारतीय वायु सेना की असली ताकत उसकी निरंतर तत्परता में है और किसी भी प्रकार की ढिलाई स्वीकार्य नहीं है।
उन्होंने कहा कि 24×7 ऑपरेशनल रेडीनेस केवल एक निर्देश नहीं, बल्कि वायु सेना की कार्य संस्कृति है, जिसे हर एयर वॉरियर को आत्मसात करना चाहिए।
ऑपरेशन सिंदूर में एयर वॉरियर्स के शौर्य की सराहना
एयर मार्शल नगेश कपूर ने ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान एयर वॉरियर्स द्वारा दिखाए गए अद्वितीय साहस, तकनीकी दक्षता और अनुशासन की विशेष प्रशंसा की। उन्होंने कहा कि इस ऑपरेशन ने यह साबित कर दिया कि भारतीय वायु सेना किसी भी चुनौती का सामना करने में पूरी तरह सक्षम है। पायलटों, तकनीकी स्टाफ, ग्राउंड क्रू और सपोर्ट यूनिट्स के सामूहिक प्रयासों ने ऑपरेशन सिंदूर को सफल बनाया।
एयर मार्शल कपूर ने इसे भारतीय वायु सेना के प्रशिक्षण, नेतृत्व और टीम वर्क का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण बताते हुए कहा कि ऐसे अभियानों से वायु सेना की युद्धक क्षमता और आत्मविश्वास दोनों मजबूत होते हैं।
सोशल मीडिया और सुरक्षा चेतना पर विशेष ज़ोर
दौरे के दौरान एयर मार्शल नगेश कपूर ने सोशल मीडिया के ज़िम्मेदार उपयोग पर भी विशेष बल दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के डिजिटल युग में एक छोटी सी लापरवाही भी सुरक्षा के लिए बड़ा खतरा बन सकती है। उन्होंने सभी अधिकारियों और जवानों से अपील की कि वे सोशल मीडिया पर सतर्कता बरतें और सैन्य गोपनीयता से जुड़े सभी प्रोटोकॉल का सख्ती से पालन करें।
एयर वॉरियर्स से संवाद, मनोबल को मिला संबल
एयर मार्शल कपूर ने स्टेशन पर तैनात अधिकारियों, एयरमैन और नागरिक कर्मचारियों से संवाद कर उनके कार्य, अनुशासन और समर्पण की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि बदलते सुरक्षा परिदृश्य में तकनीकी उन्नयन, निरंतर प्रशिक्षण और मानसिक मजबूती ही भारतीय वायु सेना को विश्व की श्रेष्ठ वायु सेनाओं में स्थान दिलाती है। वरिष्ठ वायु अधिकारी का यह संवाद जवानों के मनोबल को और अधिक ऊंचा करने वाला रहा।
राजस्थान के राज्यपाल से शिष्टाचार भेंट
अपने आधिकारिक दौरे के दौरान एयर मार्शल नगेश कपूर ने राजस्थान के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री हरिभाऊ किसनराव बागड़े से शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने राज्यपाल को दक्षिण पश्चिम वायु कमान की गतिविधियों, क्षेत्रीय सुरक्षा परिदृश्य और आगामी जैसलमेर फायर पावर डेमोंस्ट्रेशन के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। यह डेमोंस्ट्रेशन भारतीय वायु सेना की मारक क्षमता, तकनीकी श्रेष्ठता और सामरिक शक्ति का प्रदर्शन करेगा।
