Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan, the Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN), recently inaugurated 32 new married accommodations for sailors at Vijay Baugh, Port Blair. During the ceremony, he personally handed over the keys to the first occupants, marking a significant milestone in the Indian Navy’s commitment to improving the welfare of its personnel.

This initiative is part of the Indian Navy’s “Ships First” and “Key on Arrival” programs, designed to provide sailors and their families with immediate and quality housing upon their transfer or arrival at a new posting. The new accommodations underscore the Andaman and Nicobar Command’s dedication to ensuring that the needs of serving sailors are met promptly and effectively.
