BSF ORGANISES SPECIAL AWARENESS SESSION IN BIKANER ON OPERATION SINDOOR, BORDER SECURITY AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
A Meaningful Security Outreach Initiative in the Heart of Bikaner
The Border Security Force demonstrated its strong commitment toward strengthening civil–security cooperation by conducting an extensive awareness session at Maa Karni Teacher Training College, Nal, Bikaner. The event brought a renewed understanding of national security among young teacher trainees, highlighting how border vigilance, internal stability, and an empowered society are closely interlinked. The campus atmosphere resonated with curiosity and admiration as students interacted with uniformed personnel, gaining valuable insights into border guarding responsibilities, modern surveillance methods, and the human dimension of military readiness.
Deputy Commandant Mahesh Chand Jat’s Engaging Interaction with Trainees
Deputy Commandant Mahesh Chand Jat, the principal speaker of the session, addressed the gathering with deep sincerity and authoritative clarity. His presence turned the session into a powerful window into the life and duties of BSF soldiers deployed along India’s western border. He described the Indo–Pak frontier as an unpredictable terrain where threats can evolve within minutes, requiring constant alertness, strategic foresight, and collective discipline. His words inspired students to understand that national security is not merely a concept confined to borders but a shared responsibility that involves awareness, cooperation, and preparedness across society.
BSF’s Crucial Role in Preserving Peace and Neutralizing Hostile Intent
During his detailed address, Deputy Commandant Jat emphasized that the BSF plays a defining role in maintaining peace in sensitive frontier regions. He explained that the force constantly counters hostile attempts originating from across the border, including infiltration, smuggling, and surveillance activities carried out with malicious intent. He highlighted that BSF troops remain vigilant day and night, monitoring every suspicious movement, studying changing patterns of enemy behaviour, and responding within seconds whenever the situation demands. This continuous vigilance ensures that border villages remain secure and that any emerging threat is neutralized before it escalates into a larger crisis.
Deep Insights into Operation Sindoor and Its Strategic Importance
In one of the most insightful segments of the session, Deputy Commandant Jat elaborated on the contemporary significance of Operation Sindoor—an operation that has become a symbol of joint readiness involving BSF, Indian Army, and Indian Air Force across the western theatre. He explained that the operation reflects India’s enhanced strategic posture, where coordination between ground and air elements creates a formidable shield against adversarial activities. He described Operation Sindoor as an embodiment of technological integration, high morale, and seamless teamwork, where every soldier, officer, and supporting element contributes to creating a robust defence architecture in the desert sector.
Synergy Between BSF, Army and Air Assets During High Alert Situations
Expanding on the operational landscape, he highlighted that Operation Sindoor has demonstrated exceptional inter-agency synchronisation. This synergy ensures that the BSF remains equipped with timely intelligence, rapid aerial assessment, and precise response capabilities. The Deputy Commandant noted that whenever the situation demands heightened alertness — such as after suspicious drone activities, movements along the border fence, or intelligence warnings — BSF works in perfect coordination with Army units and air surveillance platforms to create an impenetrable defence layer. He emphasised that every alert raised during Sindoor is handled with uncompromising readiness.
Unwavering Vigilance of BSF Troops in Harsh Desert Conditions
He also spoke about the demanding nature of duty in the Thar Desert, where temperatures fluctuate drastically and terrain challenges test every soldier’s endurance. Despite these obstacles, BSF troops remain resolute, watching over vast stretches of the frontier where even the smallest anomaly can indicate a security threat. He narrated how soldiers often walk long patrol tracks, remain deployed for extended hours, and continuously monitor early warning systems to safeguard India’s borders. The dedication of each jawan, he said, forms the first and strongest wall of security against any hostile infiltration.
Highlighting the Inspiring Rise of Women in the BSF
One of the most encouraging parts of the session focused on the growing representation of women in the BSF. Deputy Commandant Jat praised the transformation that has taken place in recent years, noting that women personnel are now excelling in roles once considered exclusively male-dominated. He shared examples of women leading patrols, managing surveillance posts, handling weapon systems, and participating in high-risk operations. Their courage and professionalism, he said, have not only strengthened the BSF’s operational capacity but have also motivated young women across the country to consider a career in uniform.
A Strong Message of Encouragement for Young Female Students
The audience, primarily composed of young teacher trainees, listened with visible inspiration as the Deputy Commandant encouraged them to explore opportunities in the security forces. He said that service in forces like the BSF is not merely a job but a calling that combines honour, discipline, national pride, and self-transformation. He emphasized that the force provides women with multiple pathways to serve the country — whether in operational roles, intelligence duties, administrative domains, or specialized wings. His message resonated deeply, especially because it aligned with the broader theme of empowerment and nation-building.
Interactive Discussions on Technology, Response Mechanisms and Public Cooperation
The session included an engaging interactive segment where students asked insightful questions related to border technology, surveillance equipment, emergency response procedures, and BSF’s humanitarian initiatives in frontier villages. Deputy Commandant Jat patiently addressed every query, describing how modern tools such as thermal imagers, border lights, drones, communication grids, and rapid deployment systems help BSF foresee threats and counter them effectively. He also highlighted the importance of community cooperation, explaining how border villagers often act as first informers, strengthening India’s security network with their vigilance and trust.
Presence of Defence Journalist Sahil and Empowerment Activities at the Event
Defence Journalist Sahil was present during the session, documenting the interactive conversations and observing how such initiatives help bridge the gap between security agencies and the civil community. The programme also featured a compelling street play on women empowerment performed by the college’s trainee teachers under the direction of lecturer Rekha Verma. College Principal Dr. Mudita Popli welcomed Deputy Commandant Jat and highlighted his contributions to Operation Sindoor, while faculty members including Sarita Purohit, Dr. Poonam Middha, Kavita Mehra, Pooja Bhati, Rakesh Purohit, and Shivji Changani attended the session. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Ritu Shrimali, marking a dignified conclusion to a powerful and insightful event.

सीमा सुरक्षा और नागरिक जागरूकता को जोड़ने वाली एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल
बीकानेर के नाल स्थित मां करणी शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण महाविद्यालय में सीमा सुरक्षा बल द्वारा एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण जागरूकता सत्र आयोजित किया गया, जिसका उद्देश्य युवा छात्राओं को राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा की वास्तविकताओं से परिचित कराना था। माहौल ऐसा था जैसे पूरा परिसर सुरक्षा जागरूकता की नई ऊर्जा से भर गया हो। छात्राओं ने उत्साह के साथ बीएसएफ की भूमिका, सीमाई चुनौतियों, निगरानी तकनीकों और सुरक्षा तंत्र के मानवीय पहलुओं को समझा। यह कार्यक्रम महज एक व्याख्यान नहीं था बल्कि सुरक्षा और समाज को एक-दूसरे से जोड़ने वाला महत्त्वपूर्ण अवसर बन गया।
डिप्टी कमांडेंट महेश चंद्र जाट का प्रभावशाली संबोधन
सत्र का नेतृत्व बीएसएफ के डिप्टी कमांडेंट महेश चंद्र जाट ने किया, जिनका संबोधन छात्राओं के लिए अत्यंत प्रेरणादायक और ज्ञानवर्धक रहा। उन्होंने सीमा सुरक्षा के दायित्वों को सरल लेकिन गहन भाषा में समझाते हुए बताया कि भारत–पाक सीमा पर कार्य करना किस तरह निरंतर सतर्कता, तेज़ निर्णय क्षमता और उच्च अनुशासन की मांग करता है। उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि सुरक्षा का अर्थ सिर्फ बंदूक उठाना नहीं होता, बल्कि यह एक व्यापक प्रक्रिया है जिसमें सामाजिक सहयोग, आपसी विश्वास, त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया और रणनीतिक दृष्टि शामिल होती है।
शांति बनाए रखने और नापाक गतिविधियों को रोकने में बीएसएफ की भूमिका
जाट ने बताया कि बीएसएफ की सबसे बड़ी ज़िम्मेदारी सीमावर्ती इलाकों में शांति बनाए रखना और दुश्मन देश की ओर से की जाने वाली किसी भी संदिग्ध गतिविधि को समय रहते रोकना है। उन्होंने बताया कि बीएसएफ के जवान दिन-रात सीमा के हर हिस्से पर पैनी नज़र रखते हैं। दुश्मन की ओर से की जाने वाली छोटी-सी हरकत भी सुरक्षा के लिहाज़ से बहुत बड़ी हो सकती है, इसलिए सतर्कता ही सीमा सुरक्षा की सबसे पहली शर्त है। उनका वर्णन सुनकर छात्राओं ने महसूस किया कि सीमा पर तैनात हर जवान भारत की सुरक्षा का जीता-जागता प्रहरी है।
ऑपरेशन सिंदूर की रणनीतिक अहमियत पर विस्तृत चर्चा
सत्र के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सों में से एक वह था जिसमें जाट ने ऑपरेशन सिंदूर की महत्ता पर विस्तार से चर्चा की। उन्होंने बताया कि यह ऑपरेशन आज के समय में भारत की सामरिक शक्ति, अंतर-एजेंसी समन्वय और तकनीकी श्रेष्ठता का प्रमाण बन चुका है। बीएसएफ, भारतीय सेना और वायुसेना के बीच समन्वय ने इस अभियान को नई ऊंचाइयों तक पहुंचाया है। ऑपरेशन सिंदूर में हर अलर्ट, हर मूवमेंट और हर कार्रवाई इस सोच के साथ की जाती है कि सीमा सुरक्षा में एक भी चूक बर्दाश्त नहीं की जा सकती।
थल, वायु और बीएसएफ के बीच बेहतरीन समन्वय
उन्होंने बताया कि ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान थल सेना, वायुसेना और बीएसएफ के बीच समन्वय इतना मजबूत होता है कि किसी भी आपात स्थिति में संयुक्त प्रतिक्रिया तुरंत शुरू हो जाती है। चाहे संदिग्ध ड्रोन गतिविधि हो, सीमा पर किसी प्रकार की हलचल हो या खुफिया एजेंसियों से कोई चेतावनी मिले, बीएसएफ हर चुनौती का सामना रणनीतिक तरीके से करती है। इस स्तर की तैयारी ही सुनिश्चित करती है कि दुश्मन का हर मंसूबा नाकाम रहे।
मरुस्थल की कठिन परिस्थितियों में बीएसएफ की सतत तैनाती
जाट ने थार मरुस्थल में तैनात जवानों की कठिनाइयों का उल्लेख करते हुए बताया कि अत्यधिक गर्मी, ठंड और रेतीले तूफ़ानों के बावजूद बीएसएफ के जवान बिना थके अपनी ड्यूटी निभाते हैं। सीमा पर फैले विशाल क्षेत्रों में गश्त करते हुए वे घंटों तक पैदल चलते हैं, निगरानी उपकरणों को ऑपरेट करते हैं और किसी भी संदिग्ध गतिविधि को तुरंत रिपोर्ट करते हैं। इन कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी उनका मनोबल ऊंचा रहता है और यही जज़्बा भारत की सुरक्षा को मजबूत बनाता है।
बीएसएफ में बढ़ती महिला शक्ति का प्रेरक उदाहरण
उन्होंने बताया कि आज बीएसएफ में महिलाओं की भागीदारी तेजी से बढ़ रही है और वे हर भूमिका में अपनी क्षमता साबित कर रही हैं। चाहे सीमा पर गश्त करना हो, निगरानी पोस्ट संभालना हो, हथियार प्रणालियों का संचालन करना हो या विशेष अभियानों में भाग लेना हो—महिला जवान हर कार्य में निपुणता और साहस दिखा रही हैं। यह परिवर्तन न सिर्फ सुरक्षा बलों को मजबूत बना रहा है बल्कि देश की लाखों युवतियों के लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत भी बन रहा है।
छात्राओं को सुरक्षा बलों में शामिल होने का प्रोत्साहन
जाट ने छात्राओं को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि बीएसएफ और अन्य सुरक्षा बलों में करियर बनाना एक सम्मानीय विकल्प है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश सेवा का अवसर हर उस युवा के लिए उपलब्ध है जो अनुशासन, समर्पण और साहस के साथ आगे बढ़ना चाहता है। उन्होंने छात्राओं को प्रेरित करते हुए कहा कि सुरक्षा बलों में महिलाओं के लिए आज असीम संभावनाएं हैं और यह समय है जब अधिक से अधिक युवतियां इस दिशा में आगे आएं।
तकनीक, सुरक्षा तंत्र और जन-सहयोग पर विस्तृत चर्चा
सत्र के दौरान छात्राओं ने कई सवाल पूछे जिन्हें जाट ने सरल और प्रभावी तरीके से समझाया। उन्होंने बताया कि कैसे आधुनिक तकनीक—थर्मल इमेजर, बॉर्डर लाइटिंग, संचार नेटवर्क, ड्रोन निगरानी और त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया प्रणाली—बीएसएफ को हर स्थिति में तैयार रखती है। उन्होंने कहा कि सीमावर्ती गांवों के नागरिक भी सुरक्षा तंत्र का अहम हिस्सा हैं, क्योंकि कई बार उनकी सूचनाएं बड़े खतरों को रोकने में निर्णायक साबित होती हैं।
कार्यक्रम में रक्षा पत्रकार साहिल की उपस्थिति और सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां
इस विशेष कार्यक्रम में रक्षा पत्रकार साहिल भी मौजूद थे, जिन्होंने बीएसएफ और नागरिक समाज के बीच इस संवाद को महत्वपूर्ण बताया। महाविद्यालय की छात्रा-अध्यापिकाओं ने प्रवक्ता रेखा वर्मा के निर्देशन में महिला सशक्तिकरण पर आधारित नाट्य प्रस्तुति भी दी। प्राचार्य डॉ. मुदिता पोपली ने जाट का स्वागत करते हुए ऑपरेशन सिंदूर में उनकी भूमिका का विशेष उल्लेख किया। कार्यक्रम में महाविद्यालय स्टाफ सरिता पुरोहित, डॉ. पूनम मिड्ढा, कविता मेहरा, पूजा भाटी, राकेश पुरोहित और शिवजी छंगाणी उपस्थित रहे। अंत में डॉ. रितु श्रीमाली ने आभार व्यक्त किया।
