BUILDING A HEALTHIER FUTURE: SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND TAKES MASSIVE LEAP IN MILITARY HEALTHCARE

The South Western Command, popularly known as Sapta Shakti Command, is scripting a remarkable success story in strengthening healthcare facilities for its soldiers, families, and veterans, showcasing the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment towards the well-being of its personnel. At a time when lifestyle diseases, mental health challenges, and chronic illnesses are witnessing an alarming rise across the globe, Sapta Shakti Command under the leadership of Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh is ensuring that health remains a top operational priority.

Recognizing that the physical and mental well-being of troops directly impacts operational efficiency, Sapta Shakti Command has implemented a series of far-reaching initiatives over the past year. Outreach programmes like Cataract Surgery Camps, which provided doorstep, high-end surgeries to over 250 patients, Cancer Screening Camps, Blood Donation Drives, and Mental Health Counselling sessions have been conducted with overwhelming participation. These initiatives not only addressed health concerns but also instilled a deeper sense of security and trust among soldiers and their families.

A landmark achievement was the establishment of an Early Intervention Centre in December 2024, a holistic facility integrating modern medical science with traditional systems like Homeopathy and Ayurveda, offering comprehensive healthcare under one roof. Wellness Counsellors have been appointed across key military stations to help troops and their families manage stress effectively, ensuring robust mental health and operational readiness.

In addition to these proactive efforts, Integrated Health Centres have been established at Jaipur and all major military stations under Sapta Shakti Command to manage the increasing patient influx efficiently. For the convenience of families and attendants of patients, Patient Transit Facilities have also been made available at select locations, providing comfortable stay arrangements during treatment.

Further setting new benchmarks in military healthcare, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh inaugurated Jaipur’s first-ever Biplane Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (CCL) at Military Hospital Jaipur on 03 July 2025. This state-of-the-art cardiac facility, the first of its kind in the city, positions Military Hospital Jaipur among an elite list of select zonal and command hospitals equipped with such cutting-edge infrastructure. Equipped with a non-invasive laboratory, the facility offers comprehensive cardiac care, ensuring that soldiers, their dependents, and veterans across the entire area of responsibility receive the most advanced cardiac procedures under one roof.

Looking ahead, Sapta Shakti Command has lined up a series of new initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare standards. These include interactive awareness sessions like ‘Beat Bad Cholesterol’, a seminar on ‘Nursing Adaptations in the Digital Era’, a drive to convert Military Hospitals into ‘Green Zones’, and the upcoming introduction of Mammography facilities for early detection of breast cancer at Military Hospital Jaipur.

स्वस्थ भविष्य की ओर बढ़ता सप्त शक्ति कमान : सैनिकों और परिवारों की सेहत बनी सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता

भारतीय सेना की दक्षिण पश्चिम कमान, जिसे सप्त शक्ति कमान के नाम से जाना जाता है, सैन्य स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के क्षेत्र में एक नया अध्याय लिख रही है। बदलती जीवनशैली, मानसिक स्वास्थ्य समस्याएं और पुरानी बीमारियों की वैश्विक चुनौती के बीच, सप्त शक्ति कमान ने अपने सैनिकों, उनके परिवारों और पूर्व सैनिकों की स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा को प्राथमिकता देकर एक अनुकरणीय उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया है।

आर्मी कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनजिंदर सिंह के नेतृत्व में, कमान का स्पष्ट मानना है कि सैनिकों की शारीरिक और मानसिक सेहत सीधे उनकी ऑपरेशनल दक्षता को प्रभावित करती है। इसी सोच के तहत, बीते 12 महीनों में कमान द्वारा अनेक अहम स्वास्थ्य पहलें लागू की गईं, जिनमें मोतियाबिंद सर्जरी शिविर में 250 मरीजों को घर बैठे उच्चस्तरीय सर्जरी की सुविधा दी गई, कैंसर स्क्रीनिंग शिविर, रक्तदान शिविर, परामर्श सत्र आदि शामिल हैं। इन कार्यक्रमों में भारी संख्या में मरीजों की भागीदारी रही, जिससे सैनिकों और उनके परिवारों का स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा के प्रति विश्वास और संतोष और अधिक बढ़ा।

दिसंबर 2024 में स्थापित अर्ली इंटरवेंशन सेंटर कमान की एक ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि रही, जहाँ आधुनिक चिकित्सा विज्ञान के साथ-साथ आयुर्वेद और होम्योपैथी जैसी पारंपरिक चिकित्सा पद्धतियों को भी सम्मिलित किया गया है। कई सैन्य स्टेशनों पर वेलनेस काउंसलर की नियुक्ति कर सैनिकों और उनके परिवारों को तनाव प्रबंधन में मदद दी जा रही है, जिससे मानसिक स्वास्थ्य बेहतर बना रहे।

मरीजों की बढ़ती संख्या को देखते हुए जयपुर सहित सप्त शक्ति कमान के सभी प्रमुख सैन्य स्टेशनों पर इंटीग्रेटेड हेल्थ सेंटर की स्थापना की गई है। परिजनों और मरीज सहयोगियों के ठहरने हेतु पेशेंट ट्रांजिट फैसिलिटी भी कुछ सैन्य स्टेशनों पर विकसित की गई है, जिससे इलाज के दौरान ठहरने की कोई असुविधा न हो।

सैन्य चिकित्सा सेवाओं में एक और ऐतिहासिक कदम उठाते हुए, 03 जुलाई 2025 को जयपुर मिलिट्री हॉस्पिटल में राजस्थान के पहले अत्याधुनिक बायप्लेन कार्डियक कैथेटराइजेशन लैब (CCL) का उद्घाटन आर्मी कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनजिंदर सिंह द्वारा किया गया। यह सुविधा जयपुर शहर में अपनी तरह की पहली है और इसके साथ मिलिट्री हॉस्पिटल जयपुर देश के चुनिंदा जोनल एवं कमान अस्पतालों की श्रेणी में शामिल हो गया है। नॉन-इनवेसिव लैब के साथ यह केंद्र सैनिकों, उनके आश्रितों और पूर्व सैनिकों को समग्र कार्डियक केयर सुविधा एक ही छत के नीचे प्रदान करेगा।

भविष्य में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को और मजबूती देने हेतु सप्त शक्ति कमान द्वारा अनेक नई पहलें की जाएंगी, जिनमें ‘बीट बैड कोलेस्ट्रॉल’ जैसी जागरूकता सत्र, ‘डिजिटल युग में नर्सिंग अनुकूलन’ विषय पर सेमिनार, मिलिट्री हॉस्पिटल्स को ‘ग्रीन जोन’ में बदलने का अभियान तथा जयपुर मिलिट्री हॉस्पिटल में शीघ्र शुरू होने वाली मैमोग्राफी सुविधा शामिल है, जिससे स्तन कैंसर की प्रारंभिक जांच की जा सकेगी।

सप्त शक्ति कमान अपने क्षेत्राधिकार में सभी रैंकों, उनके परिवारों एवं पूर्व सैनिकों को सर्वोत्तम स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएँ प्रदान करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। पूर्व सैनिकों के सहयोग और सेना की अटूट इच्छाशक्ति से यह कमान निरंतर स्वस्थ, सशक्त और तैयार भारत की दिशा में अग्रसर है, जिसकी प्रेरणा देश की प्राचीन मूल भावना ‘सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः’ से ली गई है।
