Burn Healing Foundation Celebrates 3-Year Anniversary of Restoring Lives of Burn Survivors

Burn Healing Foundation, a renowned organization dedicated to restoring the lives of burn survivors, is excited to announce its 3-year anniversary since its establishment in 2020 by Dr. Rajeev B Ahuja, Chairman of the foundation.

The foundation gained operational momentum in 2021 and was virtually inaugurated by the esteemed Mr. Amitabh Kant, former CEO of Niti Aayog. Since then, 19 partner hospitals, led by leading burn surgeons of India, alongside philanthropists and humanitarians, have worked tirelessly to restore the lives of 55 burn survivors through 58 corrective surgeries.

Dr. Ahuja’s unique vision, supported by his 30 years of experience as a clinician, burn care advocate, and advocate for a multidisciplinary approach to burn treatment, has brought together donations from friends and family to support the cause. With various national and international positions, including the former President of the National Association of Burns India (NABI), former President of the International Society of Burn Injuries (ISBI), founder of the Asia Pacific Burns Association (APBA), and renowned peer-reviewed international researcher, Dr. Ahuja’s expertise has been instrumental in the foundation’s success.

Today, the Burn Healing Foundation team is proud to have Mr. Animesh Chaudhary, an innovative entrepreneur, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Mr. Ashish Gulaini, a well-known media and marketing consultant, as the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Together, they have worked towards creating a community outreach and engagement program to encourage donations from individuals who resonate with the cause, as well as reaching out to CSR projects for funding support. The foundation expresses its gratitude to all the volunteers who have dedicated their time and efforts during this phase.

Driven by Dr. Ahuja’s mission to address the gaps observed while caring for burn victims, both as a clinician and a human being, the foundation recognizes the socio-economic and psychological impact of burn deformities. Burn survivors often have to struggle with these challenges in their lives, which can cause significant economic strain. To combat this situation, the foundation, led by Ms. Aarti Ahuja, a psychologist and Chief Operations Officer (COO), extends whole-hearted services to those in need.
