The 104th Corps Raising day was celebrated in a dignified manner at the Army Education Corps Training College and Centre on Saturday, 01 June 2024. On this day, 104 years ago the corps was established. The Raising Day program was inaugurated by Brigadier Amit Chatterjee, Commandant, Army Education Corps Training College and Centre, by paying tribute to the martyrs at the War Memorial.
In the evening , a large communal dinner was organised as per military traditions. On this occasion, along with the army personnel , ex- serviceman, military families, defence civilians and their families celebrated the Corps Day with great pomp and show by attending a traditional dinner. All the dignitaries felt proud on this golden occasion.
AEC has been entrusted upon with responsibility of Foreign Language Training for the armed personnel of defence forces along with Map Craft and the Human Resource Development. Till date a large number of defence Personnel of Indian Armed Forces and trainees from Friendly Foreign Countries have been trained in various fields in this establishment. The responsibility of Joint Services Training Institute (JSTI) for military music training has also been given to the Army Education Corps, which is a big achievement.
Keeping in mind the changing nature and style of war in the modern era , a lot of changes are taking place in the army. Under this , the Army Education Corps is also going through a major change. Trained soldiers of Army Education Corps with expertise in languages like Mandarin , Burmese , Russian, Tibetan and Dzognkha etc. have been making important contribution in Cyber, Information Technology and Perception Management .
