Deputy CM Diya Kumari Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Bravehearts of Sapta Shakti Command — A Thread of Protection, Pride, and Patriotism

Raksha Bandhan, a festival woven with threads of love, respect, and unbreakable bonds, found its most heartfelt expression at the Jaipur Military Station this year. In a ceremony steeped in nationalism, gratitude, and the timeless traditions of Bharat, Rajasthan’s Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Ms. Diya Kumari, joined distinguished women of the state to tie sacred rakhis on the wrists of soldiers from the Sapta Shakti Command.

The event was not merely a celebration—it was a reaffirmation of the emotional bridge that connects India’s daughters with her defenders. The sacred ritual was performed in the presence of Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command, symbolising the enduring relationship between civilian society and the guardians of the nation’s frontiers.

A Ceremony Rooted in Tradition and Pride

Amid a backdrop of the tricolour fluttering against the Rajasthan sky, Ms. Diya Kumari tied rakhis to the Army Commander and the soldiers, her gestures resonating with warmth, respect, and deep patriotism. The threads she tied were more than ornamental—they embodied promises of mutual protection, gratitude for selfless service, and the shared pride of belonging to a free and sovereign Bharat.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy CM expressed her unwavering admiration for the Indian Army’s dedication to safeguarding the nation. “It is a matter of honour, privilege, and immense pride to be here among these brave warriors who stand vigilant day and night to defend our sovereignty,” she remarked, her voice carrying the weight of a personal and collective sentiment.

She made special mention of the Indian Armed Forces’ valor in Operation Sindoor, where soldiers delivered a befitting reply to the adversary, ensuring the safety of the nation. “Your sacrifice, your vigilance, and your courage make the people of Bharat sleep peacefully at night,” she added.

An Emotional Gesture to the Defenders

In a moment that drew applause from all present, the Army Commander extended heartfelt thanks on behalf of all ranks of Sapta Shakti Command to the Deputy CM and the women who had come to celebrate. He shared that 1,50,000 rakhis had been sent to soldiers stationed in remote and high-risk postings across India—a gesture that boosts morale and strengthens their resolve to serve.

“The sisters of Rajasthan coming here to tie rakhis is a rare honour. These threads are not just symbolic; they are fuel for our spirit in times of challenge,” the Army Commander said.

The Deeper Meaning of Bharat Raksha Parv

The celebration was part of the broader Bharat Raksha Parv, an initiative to connect citizens with the armed forces through cultural traditions. The day’s events demonstrated that the bonds between the Army and the people are not defined solely by duty, but by love, trust, and mutual respect.

उन्होंने विशेष रूप से ऑपरेशन सिंदूर में भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों की वीरता का उल्लेख किया, जिसमें सैनिकों ने दुश्मन को करारा जवाब दिया। “आपके बलिदान, आपकी सतर्कता और आपके साहस के कारण ही भारत के लोग चैन की नींद सो पाते हैं,” उन्होंने कहा।

आर्मी कमांडर ने सप्त शक्ति कमांड की ओर से उपमुख्यमंत्री और आई बहनों का आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने बताया कि देशभर के दूरदराज और कठिन इलाकों में तैनात सैनिकों के लिए 1,50,000 राखियाँ भेजी गई हैं, जो उन्हें अपने कर्तव्य के प्रति प्रेरित करती हैं।

उन्होंने कहा, “राजस्थान की बहनों का यहाँ आना हमारे लिए दुर्लभ सम्मान है। ये धागे सिर्फ़ प्रतीक नहीं हैं, बल्कि मुश्किल समय में हमारे हौसले को मजबूत करने वाला संबल हैं।”
