EXERCISE GARUDASHAKTI 2025: INDIA–INDONESIA SPECIAL FORCES LAUNCH A POWERFUL NEW CHAPTER IN COUNTER-TERROR COOPERATION

In a major boost to regional security cooperation and Special Forces interoperability, the 10th edition of the India–Indonesia Joint Special Forces Exercise GARUDA SHAKTI 2025 commenced on 03 December 2025 at the elite Special Forces Training School (SFTS) in Bakloh. The two-week-long exercise marks a significant milestone in the deepening military partnership between the world’s two large Indo-Pacific democracies—India and Indonesia—united by strong historical linkages, maritime synergy, and a growing convergence on security challenges in the region.
The commencement of the exercise was marked by a joint opening ceremony attended by senior officers from both the Indian Army and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). एक्सरसाइज गरुड़शक्ति 2025: भारत–इंडोनेशिया स्पेशल फोर्सेज़ के संयुक्त संचालन का नया अध्याय, बकलोह की पहाड़ियों में शुरू हुआ सबसे बड़ा आतंकवाद-रोधी युद्धाभ्यास

भारत और इंडोनेशिया की स्पेशल फोर्सेज़ के बीच गहराते सामरिक रिश्तों ने 03 दिसंबर 2025 को एक और महत्वपूर्ण पड़ाव हासिल किया, जब बकलोह स्थित “स्पेशल फ़ोर्सेज़ ट्रेनिंग स्कूल” में 10वां भारत–इंडोनेशिया संयुक्त विशेष बल अभ्यास ‘एक्सरसाइज गरुड़शक्ति 2025’ भव्य शुरुआत के साथ आरंभ हुआ। दो सप्ताह तक चलने वाला यह युद्धाभ्यास न केवल दोनों देशों की विशेष बलों को एकजुट करने का प्रयास है, बल्कि यह पूरे इंडो-पैसिफिक क्षेत्र को यह संदेश भी देता है कि भारत और इंडोनेशिया मिलकर आतंकवाद, कट्टरपंथ, ड्रोन युद्ध और हाइब्रिड चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए तैयार हैं।
उद्घाटन समारोह में भारतीय सेना की पारा (स्पेशल फोर्सेज़) और इंडोनेशिया की दिग्गज Kopassus (कोपासस) टुकड़ियों ने सटीक फॉर्मेशन में मार्च करते हुए अपनी क्षमता का प्रदर्शन किया। पहाड़ों, घने जंगलों और कठिन भूभाग वाले बकलोह का प्रशिक्षण क्षेत्र इस साल के अभ्यास को और चुनौतीपूर्ण तथा अधिक यथार्थवादी बनाता है।

- बंधक मुक्त अभियान
- तेज़ आक्रमण और तत्काल निकासी
- दुर्गम इलाके में बिवाक और सर्वाइवल
- ऊंचाई वाले क्षेत्रों में मिशन प्लानिंग
भारत के पास आतंकवाद-रोधी अभियानों का चार दशकों का अनुभव है—कश्मीर घाटी, उत्तर-पूर्वी राज्यों, मध्य भारत और रेगिस्तानी इलाकों में देश की स्पेशल फोर्सेज़ ने जो अनुभव प्राप्त किया है, वह पूरे विश्व में अद्वितीय माना जाता है। इसी तरह, इंडोनेशियाई फोर्सेज़ ने पापुआ, सुलावेसी, आचेह और दूर-दराज के द्वीपसमूहों में उग्रवाद और आतंकी समूहों के खिलाफ लगातार अभियान चलाए हैं। यही वजह है कि गरुड़शक्ति 2025 दोनों देशों के अनुभवों का एक महत्वपूर्ण संगम है।
हेलिबोर्न ऑपरेशंस: आधुनिक स्पेशल ऑपरेशंस का असली दिल

रात में इस्तेमाल होने वाले अत्याधुनिक नाइट-विज़न गॉगल्स, थर्मल इमेजर्स और हाई-फ्रीक्वेंसी संचार सिस्टम इस पूरे ट्रेनिंग को वास्तविक युद्ध जैसा अनुभव प्रदान करते हैं।
ड्रोन युद्ध और Counter-UAS: बदलते युद्धक्षेत्र का नया विज्ञान
आज युद्ध का सबसे बड़ा चेहरा बदलने वाली तकनीक है—ड्रोन वारफेयर। यूक्रेन से लेकर गाज़ा तक, समुद्री सीमा से लेकर पहाड़ी मोर्चे तक, ड्रोन आधुनिक संघर्षों की धुरी बन चुके हैं।
इसी को देखते हुए गरुड़शक्ति 2025 में इस वर्ष विशेष फोकस दिया गया है—
- उन्नत क्वाडकॉप्टर और फिक्स्ड-विंग ड्रोन का इस्तेमाल
- ऊंचाई से निगरानी, आक्रामक टोही
- लक्ष्य निर्धारण व फायर सपोर्ट

अंतिम सत्यापन मिशन: दो हफ़्तों की ताक़त का सबसे बड़ा परीक्षण
अभ्यास के आखिरी चरण में एक 36 घंटे का संयुक्त ‘फुल-स्केल काउंटर टेरर मिशन’ आयोजित किया जाएगा। इसमें भारत और इंडोनेशिया की टीमें बिना किसी ब्रेक के—
- खुफिया इनपुट लेकर
- खुद मिशन की योजना बनाकर
- दुश्मन के ठिकानों पर संयुक्त हमला करके
- बंधकों को निकालकर
- टीमों को सुरक्षित निकालने का
एक पूर्ण युद्ध-सदृश अभियान प्रदर्शन करेंगी।
यह Validation Exercise इस पूरे अभ्यास का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा होगा।
