Flying Daggers 45 Squadron of IAF Honored with President’s Colours
The celebration included a gathering of all serving personnel and veterans, where CAS Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari congratulated the squadron’s members and urged them to continue their outstanding work.
The prestigious Flying Daggers 45 Squadron of the Indian Air Force (IAF) has been awarded the President’s Colours, a distinguished honor marking the unit’s exemplary service and commitment to the nation. The accolade was officially bestowed on March 8, 2024.
To commemorate this significant achievement, Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari visited the station on May 25, 2024. The event celebrated the squadron’s remarkable journey from operating the Vampire aircraft to the formidable Tejas. Over the years, Flying Daggers 45 Sqn has been actively involved in extensive operations during the 1965 and 1971 wars, and air defense operations post-Balakot. The squadron has also showcased its prowess in various exercises held both in India and abroad.

Air Marshal B Manikantan, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Southern Air Command (SAC), along with other SAC officers, were also present to honor the squadron’s achievements.
