Gandiv Division Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025 with Inspiring Events Across Military Stations

Kota/Alwar/Lalgarh – In a remarkable tribute to the strength and resilience of women, Gandiv Division celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 with a series of empowering events across Kota Military Station, Alwar Military Station, and Lalgarh Military Station. Under the theme “Empowered Women, Empowered Nation!”, the celebrations included a Blood Donation Camp, a Health Lecture by Gandiv Healers, a ‘Legal Rights Awareness’ session, and a special Day Out for ladies and children, among other initiatives aimed at promoting awareness, wellness, and empowerment.

The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from women officers, Army wives, female staff, and children, reinforcing the importance of women’s well-being, legal literacy, and social empowerment.

A Day of Health and Service: Blood Donation Camp & Health Lecture

The Gandiv Healers, a dedicated team of medical professionals, led a Blood Donation Camp across the military stations, encouraging voluntary contributions to strengthen healthcare services. The camp received overwhelming participation from women, including Army spouses and female officers, highlighting their commitment to service and community welfare.

Alongside the donation drive, a Health Awareness Lecture focused on women’s health, nutrition, mental well-being, and preventive care. Medical experts emphasized the significance of regular health check-ups, balanced diets, fitness, and mental wellness, ensuring that women prioritize their health amid their many responsibilities.

One of the participating doctors stated, “Women are often the caregivers of their families, but self-care is just as important. Through this session, we aim to educate and encourage women to take charge of their health.”

Empowering Through Knowledge: Legal Rights Awareness Session

In a significant initiative to educate women about their rights, a ‘Legal Rights Awareness’ session was conducted, focusing on laws related to women’s safety, workplace rights, property laws, and protection against domestic violence and harassment.

Legal experts and guest speakers provided practical guidance on legal recourse, self-defense rights, and financial independence, ensuring that women are well-informed about the protections available to them.

An Army wife attending the session shared, “Legal knowledge is power. Many women are unaware of their rights, and today’s session has given us clarity and confidence to stand up for ourselves when needed.”

A Special Celebration: ‘Day Out’ for Ladies & Children

To add a touch of joy and relaxation, a special ‘Day Out’ was organized for ladies and children, featuring fun-filled activities, games, interactive sessions, and cultural performances.

The event provided a platform for women to unwind, bond with their peers, and celebrate the essence of womanhood in a lively and festive atmosphere. Children also participated in creative workshops and storytelling sessions, making the day memorable for families.

A participant expressed her delight, saying, “It is wonderful to have a day where we can simply enjoy ourselves, celebrate our achievements, and feel truly valued. This event has brought us all together in a beautiful way.”

A Step Toward an Empowered Future

The International Women’s Day celebrations at Kota, Alwar, and Lalgarh Military Stations were a testament to the strength, resilience, and immense potential of women. By focusing on health, legal awareness, community service, and social bonding, the Gandiv Division reinforced its commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for women.

As the celebrations concluded, the message was clear—empowered women truly empower the nation. The success of these events will serve as a stepping stone toward greater awareness, action, and advocacy for women’s rights and well-being in the military community and beyond.
