General Manoj Pande Visits Ferozepur Military Station and Hussainiwala

General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), recently visited the Ferozepur Military Station and the frontline troops stationed at Hussainiwala. During his visit, General Pande paid homage to the bravehearts at the Hussainiwala Memorial, honoring their sacrifice and dedication.
General Pande took the opportunity to interact with all ranks, commending them for their high standards of professionalism, unwavering commitment, and operational preparedness. He encouraged the troops to continue maintaining these exemplary standards, crucial for the nation’s defense.
The Ferozepur Cantonment, established in 1839, holds historical significance, with its roots tracing back to the tenure of Captain H. M. Lawrence, who served as the Assistant Political Agent of the Northwest Frontier. The cantonment is located approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) east of the Sutlej River and about 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Firozpur city.
