🌱 GREEN MISSION BLOOMS IN THE DESERT
INNER WHEEL CLUB BIKANER PLANTS 500 TREES UNDER “EK PED MAA KE NAAM” AT LUNKARANSAR SCHOOL

In an inspiring and environment-centric initiative, the Inner Wheel Club of Bikaner (District 305) successfully conducted a grand Tree Plantation Campaign under the banner of “Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan – Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, sowing the seeds of responsibility and eco-consciousness in young minds. The event took place at the Rajkiya Ucch Madhyamik Vidhyalaya, Khari in Lunkaransar block of Bikaner district, and was graced by the esteemed presence of District Chairman Bindu Gupta, under whose guidance the initiative flourished.
500 Trees, 500 Commitments
Amid the arid landscapes of Rajasthan, where every sapling holds the promise of a greener tomorrow, the courtyard of the government school transformed into a hub of green activity. A total of 500 saplings were planted by enthusiastic school children, teachers, support staff, and dedicated members of the Inner Wheel Club, led from the front by Bindu Gupta.
Every child planted a sapling and took a personal oath to nurture and protect the tree, symbolising their emotional commitment towards nature. This act was not merely ceremonial but embedded deep educational value—instilling in children the critical understanding of trees’ role in filtering air, providing oxygen, supporting biodiversity, and combating climate change.
Eco-Awareness Rally with a Message
Following the plantation, the school premises turned into a rally route. Led by District Chairman Bindu Gupta, the children marched with placards bearing powerful slogans about environmental protection and tree conservation. The rally turned heads and hearts as it meandered through the local area, becoming a moving message of change, hope, and environmental responsibility.
This joint action between a committed civil society organisation and a government school underlines how grassroots-level initiatives can create long-lasting impacts. Especially in ecologically fragile zones like Rajasthan, such green efforts hold the key to building climate-resilient communities.
Small Budget, Massive Impact
District Chairman Bindu Gupta remarked, “Every tree planted today is a living tribute to our mothers, and a pledge to protect Mother Earth. The children’s enthusiasm shows us that the future of this planet lies in responsible young hands.”

The project has set a precedent for other schools and social groups across the district. Inner Wheel Club of Bikaner’s initiative is not only aligned with Rajasthan’s ‘Hariyalo’ mission but also resonates with global environmental goals. इनर व्हील क्लब बीकानेर (जिला-305) द्वारा “मिशन हरियालो राजस्थान – एक पेड़ माँ के नाम” के अंतर्गत एक भव्य वृक्षारोपण अभियान का आयोजन राजकीय उच्च माध्यमिक विद्यालय, खारी (लूणकरणसर) में किया गया। इस सराहनीय पर्यावरणीय पहल का नेतृत्व डिस्ट्रिक्ट चेयरमैन बिंदु गुप्ता ने किया और यह आयोजन स्थानीय बच्चों, शिक्षकों व कर्मचारियों के लिए अविस्मरणीय बन गया।
500 पौधे – 500 संकल्प
रेगिस्तानी ज़मीन पर हरियाली का सपना सजोए हुए इस स्कूल के प्रांगण में 500 पौधे रोपे गए, जिसमें स्कूली बच्चों, शिक्षकों, स्टाफ और इनर व्हील क्लब के सदस्यों ने पूरे उत्साह के साथ भाग लिया। हर बच्चे ने अपने हाथों से पौधा लगाकर उसे पालने और संरक्षित करने की शपथ ली – यह कार्य केवल एक औपचारिकता नहीं, बल्कि जिम्मेदारी का प्रतीक बन गया।
बच्चों को बताया गया कि पेड़ केवल ऑक्सीजन देने वाले जीव नहीं, बल्कि जीवनदायिनी छाया, जैव विविधता के रक्षक और जलवायु परिवर्तन के खिलाफ लड़ाई के योद्धा हैं। इस पहल के जरिए उनके मन में प्रकृति के प्रति प्रेम और जिम्मेदारी का बीज रोपा गया।
रैली ने जगाई हरियाली की चेतना
वृक्षारोपण के पश्चात विद्यालय परिसर में एक जनजागरूकता रैली निकाली गई, जिसमें डिस्ट्रिक्ट चेयरमैन बिंदु गुप्ता, विद्यालय के बच्चे, शिक्षक व स्टाफ शामिल हुए। बच्चे हाथों में हरियाली से जुड़े स्लोगन वाले पोस्टर लेकर पूरे क्षेत्र में घूमे और स्थानीय लोगों को वृक्षारोपण के महत्व से अवगत कराया।
यह रैली न केवल बच्चों में आत्मविश्वास भरने वाली रही, बल्कि समाज में पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति चेतना भी फैली।
विद्यालय के सभी विद्यार्थी प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से लाभार्थी बने, जिन्होंने इस अभियान के जरिए पर्यावरणीय ज्ञान प्राप्त किया और प्रकृति से एक गहरा जुड़ाव महसूस किया।
डिस्ट्रिक्ट चेयरमैन बिंदु गुप्ता ने कहा, “हर पौधा हमारी माँ के नाम एक सजीव श्रद्धांजलि है। आज के बच्चे कल के प्रहरी बनेंगे, यही इस मुहिम की असली सफलता है।”
हरियाली की यह लहर आगे भी बहेगी
इनर व्हील क्लब बीकानेर की यह पहल निश्चित ही राजस्थान के अन्य विद्यालयों और सामाजिक संगठनों को प्रेरणा देगी। यह अभियान सिर्फ स्थानीय नहीं, बल्कि वैश्विक हरित लक्ष्यों के अनुरूप भी है। स्कूलों में हरियाली का विस्तार एक शांत लेकिन प्रभावशाली क्रांति बन सकता है।
