राजस्थान की पहचान और पर्यावरणीय विरासत मानी जाने वाली खेजड़ी के संरक्षण को लेकर शुरू हुआ “खेजड़ी बचाओ आंदोलन” अब एक सामान्य विरोध नहीं रहा, बल्कि यह सत्ता, कॉरपोरेट और पर्यावरण के बीच टकराव का बड़ा प्रतीक बन चुका है। बीकानेर में पिछले 60 घंटों से आमरण अनशन पर बैठे पर्यावरण प्रेमियों का आक्रोश लगातार गहराता जा रहा है। सरकार की ओर से किसी ठोस पहल या संवाद के अभाव ने आंदोलनकारियों के संकल्प को और कठोर बना दिया है। अनशन स्थल पर मौजूद लोगों का कहना है कि यह लड़ाई अब केवल पेड़ों की नहीं, बल्कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों के भविष्य की है।
सरकार पर सीधा आरोप: कॉरपोरेट और विदेशी कंपनियों के दबाव में कुर्बान की जा रही खेजड़ी
आंदोलनकारियों ने भजनलाल शर्मा सरकार और केंद्र की नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार पर तीखे आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण की बातें केवल भाषणों और अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंचों तक सीमित हैं। ज़मीनी हकीकत यह है कि बड़े कॉरपोरेट घरानों और विदेशी कंपनियों के हितों के सामने खेजड़ी जैसे जीवनदायी वृक्षों की बलि दी जा रही है। आंदोलन से जुड़े पर्यावरण प्रेमियों का दावा है कि जिन क्षेत्रों में औद्योगिक परियोजनाएं प्रस्तावित हैं, वहां खेजड़ी को योजनाबद्ध तरीके से हटाया जा रहा है और इसका विरोध करने वालों पर मुकदमे दर्ज कराए जा रहे हैं।

पर्यावरण प्रेमी और किसान संघर्ष समिति, श्रीगंगानगर के जिला अध्यक्ष अमर सिंह बिश्नोई ने सरकार पर सीधा हमला बोलते हुए कहा कि भजनलाल सरकार केंद्र सरकार के सामने पूरी तरह नतमस्तक है और केंद्र सरकार देश के बड़े उद्योगपतियों के आगे झुक चुकी है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी विदेशों में पर्यावरण संरक्षण की बात करते हैं, लेकिन देश के भीतर जब खेजड़ी जैसे वृक्षों की रक्षा की बात आती है, तो उनकी सरकार पूरी तरह मौन साध लेती है। बिश्नोई ने इसे दोहरे चरित्र की राजनीति करार दिया।
“हाथ बंधे हैं, हौसले नहीं”: आंदोलन की सबसे सशक्त आवाज़
अनशन स्थल पर अमर सिंह बिश्नोई के शब्द आंदोलन की आत्मा बनते नजर आए, जब उन्होंने कहा—
“हम सरकार के सामने हाथ बांधकर बैठे हैं, इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि हमारे हौसले भी बंध गए हैं। हाथ बंधे हैं, हौसले नहीं।”
उनके इस बयान ने आंदोलन को नई ऊर्जा दी है। आंदोलनकारियों का कहना है कि शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से किया जा रहा यह अनशन सरकार को चेताने का अंतिम प्रयास है। यदि अब भी सरकार नहीं जागी, तो यह आंदोलन और व्यापक रूप लेगा।

आंदोलनकारियों ने खेजड़ी के ऐतिहासिक और सामाजिक महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए कहा कि छप्पनिया अकाल के दौरान इसी खेजड़ी ने राजस्थान के लोगों को जीवनदान दिया था। पशुओं के लिए चारा, इंसानों के लिए भोजन और पर्यावरण के लिए जीवनदायिनी भूमिका निभाने वाला यह वृक्ष आज खुद अस्तित्व की लड़ाई लड़ रहा है। आंदोलनकारियों का सवाल है कि जब खेजड़ी ने सबसे कठिन समय में समाज का साथ दिया, तो आज सत्ता इसे क्यों त्याग रही है।
कांग्रेस और भाजपा—दोनों पर निशाना, राजनीतिक इच्छाशक्ति पर सवाल
अमर सिंह बिश्नोई ने स्पष्ट कहा कि खेजड़ी संरक्षण के मुद्दे पर कांग्रेस और भाजपा—दोनों ही दलों ने कभी ठोस इच्छाशक्ति नहीं दिखाई। उन्होंने कहा कि कुछ नेताओं ने जरूर इस विषय को उठाया है, लेकिन जिस मजबूती के साथ खेजड़ी संरक्षण के लिए कानून बनना चाहिए था, वैसा प्रयास किसी भी सरकार ने नहीं किया। उनका कहना है कि सत्ता में रहते हुए दोनों दलों ने पर्यावरण को हमेशा विकास के नाम पर पीछे धकेला।
विधानसभा से संसद तक उठा मुद्दा, फिर भी कानून नदारद
आंदोलनकारियों ने बताया कि शिव विधायक रविंद्र सिंह भाटी ने राजस्थान विधानसभा में और कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने संसद में खेजड़ी संरक्षण का मुद्दा उठाया, लेकिन इसके बावजूद आज तक कोई सशक्त और प्रभावी कानून अस्तित्व में नहीं आया। उनका कहना है कि यह दिखाता है कि राजनीतिक बयानबाजी के आगे जाकर ठोस निर्णय लेने की इच्छाशक्ति का अभाव है।
“अब जवाब वोट की चोट से”: सरकार को खुली चेतावनी
आंदोलनकारियों ने साफ शब्दों में चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि यदि सरकार ने खेजड़ी संरक्षण पर कानून नहीं बनाया, तो इसका जवाब लोकतांत्रिक तरीके से दिया जाएगा।
“अब चुप नहीं बैठेंगे। सरकार को खेजड़ी संरक्षण पर कानून बनाना ही पड़ेगा, नहीं तो इसका जवाब वोट की चोट से दिया जाएगा,”
यह चेतावनी केवल भावनात्मक नहीं, बल्कि आने वाले चुनावों में बड़े राजनीतिक संदेश के रूप में देखी जा रही है।
