Indian Army Signs Welfare Cooperation Pact with Air India
Partnership focuses on employment opportunities for Veer Naris, vocational training and eco-friendly healthcare mobility solutions.

The Indian Army and Air India have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in the presence of General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), aimed at further strengthening welfare initiatives for the Army fraternity.
Built around the three pillars of Employment, Empowerment, and Environment, the partnership seeks to create sustainable employment opportunities for Veer Naris and their wards, strengthen vocational education infrastructure, and promote environment-friendly healthcare support systems.

Under the initiative, Air India will provide 20 employment opportunities for Veer Naris and 40 vacancies for their wards across seven airports, creating long-term career avenues for military families.
In addition, vocational laboratories will be established in 25 ASHA Schools to enhance skill development and training opportunities for students.

The collaboration also includes the induction of battery-operated carts at Army Hospitals to improve patient mobility and healthcare support services within military medical facilities.
Officials stated that the initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment towards welfare, rehabilitation, and empowerment of military families, while also encouraging sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions.

The partnership further highlights growing collaboration between the Armed Forces and the corporate sector in supporting veterans, Veer Naris, and their families through meaningful social and developmental initiatives.
