Additional Coast Guard assets as well as merchant vessels operating in the area are being deployed and coordinated to expand the search area and increase the chances of locating the missing crew members.
The latest development came after ICGS Varad, which has been actively engaged in the search operation, detected and recovered an emergency beacon believed to be associated with MV Ocean Winner. The discovery followed an aerial search during which a naval aircraft detected a distress transmission and guided ICGS Varad towards the reported location. The subsequent recovery and verification of the emergency beacon provided an important lead for the ongoing operation.
Naval Aircraft Detects Distress Transmission and Guides ICGS Varad
During the continuing search operation, a naval aircraft conducting an aerial surveillance mission detected a distress transmission from the search area. The aircraft subsequently guided ICGS Varad towards the reported location, allowing the Coast Guard vessel to investigate the area and search for possible survivors or emergency equipment associated with the missing vessel.
The detection of a distress transmission represented a significant development in the search operation, particularly as the search involves a wide maritime area and requires coordination between multiple assets. A boarding team from the Coast Guard vessel subsequently inspected the lifeboat after it was located. However, despite the discovery of the lifeboat, no survivors were found inside.
The discovery of the lifeboat has nevertheless provided another important reference point for the ongoing search. The location and condition of the lifeboat can potentially assist search authorities in assessing the circumstances surrounding the incident and determining areas where additional search efforts may need to be concentrated.

नई दिल्ली, 25 अगस्त 2026: MV Ocean Winner के लापता क्रू सदस्यों की तलाश के लिए चलाया जा रहा Search and Rescue Operation और तेज कर दिया गया है। भारतीय तटरक्षक बल ने Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Beijing के साथ समन्वय करते हुए ऑपरेशन में अतिरिक्त Coast Guard assets और आसपास मौजूद merchant vessels को शामिल किया है। समुद्र के बड़े इलाके में चल रही इस व्यापक तलाश का उद्देश्य लापता क्रू सदस्यों का पता लगाना और उन्हें सुरक्षित निकालना है।

समुद्र में बड़े क्षेत्र की तलाश के दौरान aircraft की भूमिका बेहद महत्वपूर्ण होती है क्योंकि विमान कम समय में बड़े maritime area को scan कर सकते हैं। इसके बाद Coast Guard ship किसी संदिग्ध location पर पहुंचकर physical search कर सकता है और वहां मौजूद lifeboat, life raft, emergency beacon, debris या किसी survivor का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर सकता है। MV Ocean Winner के मामले में भी यही coordinated approach अपनाई गई।
ICGS Varad ने बरामद किया Emergency Beacon, MV Ocean Winner से जुड़ा होने की हुई पुष्टि

Lifeboat मिलने के बाद Coast Guard की boarding team ने उस पर पहुंचकर उसका निरीक्षण किया। लेकिन inspection के दौरान lifeboat में कोई survivor नहीं मिला। लापता crew members के बारे में अभी भी कोई पुष्टि नहीं हो सकी है और उनकी तलाश जारी है।
हालांकि lifeboat में किसी survivor का नहीं मिलना चिंता बढ़ाने वाला घटनाक्रम है, लेकिन इसकी location search teams के लिए महत्वपूर्ण information प्रदान कर सकती है। Lifeboat की position से search planners को आसपास के क्षेत्र में आगे की तलाश को व्यवस्थित करने में मदद मिल सकती है।

भारत की ओर से Coast Guard assets और naval aircraft इस operation में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे रहे हैं, जबकि आसपास के merchant vessels को भी search effort में coordinate किया जा रहा है।
Merchant Vessels भी Search Operation में शामिल
Search operation को और व्यापक बनाने के लिए क्षेत्र में मौजूद merchant vessels को भी coordinated search effort में शामिल किया गया है। समुद्र में पहले से मौजूद commercial ships एक अतिरिक्त search platform के रूप में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकते हैं।
इन merchant vessels को संभावित survivors, lifeboats, life rafts, debris या अन्य emergency equipment पर नजर रखने के लिए coordinate किया जा सकता है। कई vessels एक साथ search में शामिल होने से समुद्री क्षेत्र का बड़ा हिस्सा cover करने की क्षमता बढ़ जाती है।

इस समय Search and Rescue Operation में कई स्तरों पर resources काम कर रहे हैं। Indian Coast Guard assets, aircraft और merchant vessels लगातार समुद्री क्षेत्र की तलाश कर रहे हैं। ICGS Varad अब तक distress transmission के बाद location तक पहुंच चुका है, emergency beacon बरामद कर चुका है और MV Ocean Winner की lifeboat को locate कर चुका है।
हालांकि lifeboat से कोई survivor नहीं मिला, लेकिन इन developments ने search operation को महत्वपूर्ण information उपलब्ध कराई है। अब इन्हीं leads और उपलब्ध maritime data के आधार पर आगे की तलाश को जारी रखा जा रहा है।
