IWC Bikaner Extends Lifesaving Support: Sponsors Dialysis for 17 Patients at Rotary Dialysis Centre

In a heartfelt demonstration of compassion and commitment to the community, the Inner Wheel Club (IWC) Bikaner carried out a remarkable service project under the category “Reach Out for a Better World – Health and Family Welfare.” On 27th August 2025, the club came forward to support one of the most vulnerable sections of society by sponsoring dialysis treatment for 17 patients at the Rotary Dialysis Centre, Bikaner.
For patients suffering from kidney failure, dialysis is not just a medical procedure — it is a lifeline. When both kidneys cease functioning, toxins and excess fluid accumulate in the body, threatening survival. Dialysis performs the function of the kidneys by filtering blood, sustaining patients until they are able to undergo kidney transplantation, which is the only permanent solution.
Recognising this critical need, IWC Bikaner chose to extend its support directly to patients who struggle not only with health challenges but also with the financial burden of regular dialysis sessions. Each session comes with a cost that many families in Bikaner and surrounding areas find hard to afford. By sponsoring dialysis sessions for 17 such patients, the club has not only lightened their financial burden but also gifted them hope, strength, and a renewed lease on life.
Smiles of Relief and Gratitude
On the day of the project, patients at the Rotary Dialysis Centre expressed immense gratitude. The support came as a lifeline, easing both their suffering and their families’ stress. The happiness was visible on their faces, a testimony to the transformative impact of community-driven initiatives.
As one patient shared emotionally, “It is not just financial help, it is a blessing. For us, every dialysis session is survival. The fact that someone thought about our pain and came forward means the world to us.”
Compassion in Action
The initiative was executed under the leadership of C.C. Dr. Savita Singhal, who highlighted that even small acts of kindness can create profound change. “When we come together for the welfare of others, we create ripples of hope. This project shows how compassion can directly touch lives,” she said.
The amount for the 17 dialysis sessions was handed over to the Rotary Bandhu, who manages the centre. This collaboration between community service organisations underlines the spirit of solidarity, where collective efforts bridge the gap between healthcare needs and accessibility.

समाज के प्रति करुणा और समर्पण का अद्भुत उदाहरण प्रस्तुत करते हुए इनर व्हील क्लब (आईडब्ल्यूसी) बीकानेर ने “रीच आउट फॉर ए बेटर वर्ल्ड – स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण” परियोजना के अंतर्गत 27 अगस्त 2025 को बीकानेर के रोटरी डायलिसिस सेंटर में 17 मरीजों की डायलिसिस का खर्च वहन किया।
गुर्दों की विफलता से जूझ रहे मरीजों के लिए डायलिसिस केवल एक चिकित्सीय प्रक्रिया नहीं, बल्कि जीवनरेखा है। जब दोनों किडनी काम करना बंद कर देती हैं, तब शरीर में ज़हरीले तत्व और तरल जमा हो जाते हैं। ऐसे में डायलिसिस ही वह प्रक्रिया है जो रक्त को शुद्ध कर मरीज की जिंदगी बचाती है और उन्हें तब तक जीवित रखती है जब तक कि वे किडनी ट्रांसप्लांटेशन नहीं करा लेते।
आईडब्ल्यूसी बीकानेर ने इस गंभीर आवश्यकता को समझते हुए ऐसे मरीजों का हाथ थामा जिनके लिए नियमित डायलिसिस कराना आर्थिक रूप से कठिन हो जाता है। 17 मरीजों की डायलिसिस कराकर क्लब ने न केवल उनके वित्तीय बोझ को कम किया, बल्कि उन्हें नई उम्मीद, साहस और जीवन की डोर थमा दी।
मुस्कान में दिखी राहत
इस सेवा कार्य से मरीजों और उनके परिवारों के चेहरों पर सुकून और आभार साफ नजर आया। एक मरीज ने भावुक होकर कहा – “यह केवल आर्थिक मदद नहीं, हमारे लिए जीवनदान है। हर डायलिसिस सत्र हमारी सांसें बचाता है और यह जानकर कि कोई हमारी पीड़ा समझ रहा है, बहुत हिम्मत मिलती है।”
करुणा का संदेश
इस परियोजना का नेतृत्व सी.सी. डॉ. सविता सिंघल ने किया। उन्होंने कहा – “छोटा सा दान भी किसी की जिंदगी में बड़ा बदलाव ला सकता है। जब हम एकजुट होकर दूसरों के लिए आगे आते हैं तो उम्मीद की किरण फैलती है।”
डायलिसिस कराने के लिए आवश्यक राशि रोटरी बंधु को दी गई, जो इस केंद्र का संचालन करते हैं। यह सहयोग दिखाता है कि कैसे सामुदायिक संगठन मिलकर स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को और अधिक सुलभ बना सकते हैं।
समाज के लिए बड़ा संदेश
यह परियोजना केवल वित्तीय सहायता नहीं, बल्कि यह संदेश है कि स्वास्थ्य सबकी जिम्मेदारी है। आईडब्ल्यूसी बीकानेर की यह पहल बताती है कि सामूहिक प्रयास और दया की भावना से कितनी जिंदगियों को संबल मिल सकता है।
