Lt Gen PS Shekhawat Visits Mhow Cantonment, Highlights Achievements and Initiatives
The GOC inspected the Annual Major Works Programme (AMWP) projects, assessing the progress and impact of infrastructure developments within the cantonment.
Lt Gen PS Shekhawat, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the MB Area and Colonel of the Regiment for the Mechanized Infantry, made an official visit to Mhow Cantonment from June 22 to 24, 2024. During his visit, Brigadier LK Bhardwaj, VSM, the Station Commander, provided a comprehensive briefing on both the challenges and accomplishments of the cantonment.
The GOC lauded the efforts of the Station Headquarters and its units in significantly boosting the “Happiness Quotient” among the personnel, contributing to a noticeable positive transformation across the station. He specifically praised initiatives related to the Cleanliness Survey and enhancements in ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) services, acknowledging the substantial improvements made in these areas.
Further emphasizing the visit’s significance, Lt Gen Shekhawat met with the heads of various Corps of Army Troops (CAT As) and the Military Hospital (MH), discussing ongoing projects and future plans. He also took the opportunity to honor the winners of the Green Station Competition and the standout performers from the Station Headquarters for their exemplary contributions.
