Mahavir International Bikana Veera Kendra Organises ‘Nandi Gaushala Seva Program’ — Women Volunteers Lead with Compassion and Commitment Towards Cow Welfare

In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and social responsibility, Mahavir International Bikana Veera Kendra organised a special ‘Nandi Gaushala Seva Program’ at Gangashahar, Bikaner. The event reflected the organisation’s deep-rooted values of seva (service), karuna (compassion), and samarpan (dedication) towards animal welfare — particularly the sacred Indian cow, revered as Gau Mata in Indian tradition.
The service initiative saw enthusiastic participation from members of the Veera Kendra, who came together to contribute their time and effort towards the care of cows housed in the Gaushala. During the program, jaggery (gur) and essential medicines were distributed among the cows to promote their health and well-being.
Women Volunteers Take the Lead in the Spirit of Mahavir’s Teachings
The event was graced by the presence of Veera Chairperson Manisha Daga and Secretary Veera Mithila Bhura, who expressed that true service begins with compassion towards all living beings. They appreciated the participation of every member who contributed selflessly to this noble cause.
The active involvement of Veera Dr. Babita and several other women volunteers was particularly praiseworthy. Their hands-on efforts — from feeding the cows to ensuring their medical care — symbolised the spirit of community service and empathy that Mahavir International stands for.
The volunteers emphasised that such activities not only promote animal welfare but also spread awareness about traditional Indian values of ahimsa (non-violence) and seva dharma. The organisation also reaffirmed its commitment to continue such social service initiatives across Bikaner and adjoining rural areas.
A Mission Rooted in Compassion and Cultural Heritage
The Nandi Gaushala, located in Gangashahar, serves as a sanctuary for cows rescued from various circumstances. The initiative by Mahavir International Bikana Veera Kendra added another chapter to its long legacy of humanitarian work.
Under the broader vision of Mahavir International — a global organisation inspired by the teachings of Lord Mahavir, who preached live and let live — such programs serve as living examples of moral and social upliftment. The Bikana Veera Kendra has consistently engaged in health camps, educational drives, and women empowerment programs, and now continues its commitment towards animal care and environmental balance.
Leadership and Future Plans
Speaking at the event, Chairperson Veera Manisha Daga shared her vision of expanding the organisation’s Seva Wings in Bikaner. She stated,
“Serving animals is an act of gratitude towards nature. It is our moral duty to protect and care for all beings that share our environment.”
Secretary Veera Mithila Bhura also expressed her appreciation for the members’ dedication and announced that future plans include regular medical camps for cows, nutrition drives, and awareness programs for the local community on animal welfare and eco-balance.
Community Appreciation
The local residents of Gangashahar praised the initiative, calling it a perfect example of nari shakti (women’s strength) combined with samajik samvedna (social sensitivity). The program not only strengthened the bond between humans and animals but also highlighted the growing role of women in community leadership and compassionate social work.

महावीर इंटरनेशनल बीकाणा वीरा केंद्र द्वारा आज गंगाशहर स्थित नंदी गोशाला में सेवा कार्य का आयोजन किया गया। यह आयोजन संगठन के सेवा, करुणा और समर्पण के उन आदर्शों का प्रतीक रहा जिनके आधार पर महावीर इंटरनेशनल समाजसेवा की दिशा में कार्यरत है।
इस अवसर पर गायों को गुड़ एवं दवाईयां प्रदान की गईं। वीरा बहनों ने पूरे मनोयोग से सेवा करते हुए गोशाला में मौजूद गायों के स्वास्थ्य और पोषण का ध्यान रखा। कार्यक्रम ने भारतीय परंपरा में गौ माता के प्रति सम्मान और करुणा के संदेश को फिर से जीवंत किया।
महिला शक्ति के नेतृत्व में सेवा का संकल्प
इस सेवा कार्य में वीरा डॉ. बबीता और अन्य वीरा बहनों का सहयोग विशेष रूप से सराहनीय रहा। उन्होंने सेवा को सच्चे अर्थों में मानवता का धर्म बताया और कहा कि “जीव मात्र की सेवा ही सच्ची उपासना है।”
कार्यक्रम में केंद्र की चेयरपर्सन वीरा मनीषा डागा एवं सेक्रेटरी वीरा मिथिला भूरा विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहीं। उन्होंने कहा कि महावीर इंटरनेशनल सदैव समाज में सेवा और करुणा का संदेश फैलाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने कहा कि गाय हमारी संस्कृति की आत्मा हैं, उनकी सेवा करना एक आध्यात्मिक जिम्मेदारी है।
सेवा, संवेदना और संस्कारों का संगम
गंगाशहर की नंदी गोशाला में आयोजित यह कार्यक्रम समाज में करुणा और सह-अस्तित्व के भाव को मजबूत करने वाला रहा। महावीर इंटरनेशनल बीकाणा वीरा केंद्र का यह प्रयास समाज के लिए प्रेरणा है कि आधुनिक जीवन के बीच भी परंपराओं, संवेदनाओं और जीवों के प्रति करुणा को जीवित रखा जाए।

नेतृत्व का दृष्टिकोण और आगे की योजनाएं
कार्यक्रम में चेयरपर्सन वीरा मनीषा डागा ने कहा —
“पशुओं की सेवा केवल दया नहीं, बल्कि प्रकृति के प्रति हमारा आभार है। यह मानवता का सच्चा रूप है कि हम उन प्राणियों की देखभाल करें जो हमारी प्रकृति का हिस्सा हैं।”
सेक्रेटरी वीरा मिथिला भूरा ने बताया कि आगे नियमित रूप से गोशालाओं में स्वास्थ्य शिविर, पोषण अभियान और जनजागरण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे ताकि लोगों में पशु सेवा और पर्यावरण संरक्षण की भावना को बढ़ावा मिले।
जन-भागीदारी और समाज की सराहना
गंगाशहर के स्थानीय नागरिकों ने इस आयोजन की प्रशंसा की और इसे नारी शक्ति व सामाजिक संवेदना का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण बताया। इस कार्यक्रम ने मानव और पशु के बीच सह-अस्तित्व की भावना को और भी सशक्त बनाया।
