MAJOR FAKE LIQUOR BUST IN JAIPUR: FAKE CSD-LABELLED LIQUOR SELLER ARRESTED IN JOINT EXCISE-MILITARY OPERATION

In a significant breakthrough against the illegal liquor mafia exploiting the name of the Indian Army, a joint team of Excise Department Jaipur and Military Intelligence Jaipur arrested a key member of a fake liquor syndicate from Jhotwara area in Jaipur on Tuesday evening.

CSD Branding Used to Deceive Buyers

The accused, Deependra Singh, was caught with 37 bottles of premium Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), falsely labelled as being sold through Canteen Stores Department (CSD)—a retail chain run for Indian Armed Forces personnel. The syndicate allegedly used counterfeit CSD stickers to market their illicit alcohol, thus targeting unsuspecting consumers and tarnishing the credibility of a highly trusted defence institution.

Grand Vitara Seized in Operation

The joint team also seized a Maruti Grand Vitara vehicle, suspected to be used for transporting the illegal consignment. Officials revealed that the accused sourced empty liquor bottles from scrap dealers, refilled them with low-quality or spurious liquor, and rebranded them with forged CSD tags to simulate authenticity and bypass consumer suspicion.

According to officials, these counterfeit bottles often pose serious health hazards, and consuming such adulterated liquor can result in blindness, organ failure or even death.

Strategic Coordination Behind the Operation

This well-coordinated operation, executed around 5 PM, is being hailed as a success story of inter-agency collaboration. The Military Intelligence (MI) Jaipur , along with the Excise Department of Jaipur, played a key role in tracking, identifying and cornering the syndicate’s key operative.

Deependra Singh has been booked under multiple sections of the Excise Act, and further interrogation is underway to uncover a larger network of counterfeit liquor activities in Rajasthan and beyond.

Legal & National Security Implications

Authorities suspect that such illegal rackets not only affect public health and revenue but undermine the integrity of military supply chains. The use of fake military branding—such as the CSD label—also constitutes a serious breach of national security trust.

Military sources emphasized that the case will be followed up sternly to prevent any recurrence and ensure the sanctity of Armed Forces-run services like CSD remains intact.

जयपुर में बड़ी नकली शराब की कार्यवाही: भारतीय सेना की कैंटीन स्टोर डिपो (CSD) का लेबल लगाकर नकली शराब बेचने वाला आरोपी गिरफ्तार

भारतीय सेना के कैंटीन स्टोर डिपो (CSD) के नाम का दुरुपयोग कर नकली शराब बेचने वाले गिरोह के एक सदस्य दीपेन्द्र सिंह को आज शाम करीब 5 बजे झोटवाड़ा, जयपुर से गिरफ्तार किया गया। इस कार्रवाई को जयपुर आबकारी विभाग और मिलिट्री इंटेलिजेंस जयपुर की संयुक्त टीम ने अंजाम दिया।

सेना की छवि को धूमिल करने की कोशिश

पकड़े गए आरोपी के पास से 37 बोतलें महंगी आईएमएफएल (भारतीय निर्मित विदेशी शराब) बरामद हुईं, जिन पर भारतीय सेना की CSD कैंटीन का नकली लेबल चिपकाया गया था। आरोपी पुरानी और खाली शराब की बोतलें कबाड़ी से खरीदता था, जिनमें सस्ती और मिलावटी शराब भरकर उन्हें सेना की अधिकृत कैंटीन से जारी शराब के रूप में बाजार में बेचता था।

गाड़ी भी जब्त, नकली लेबलिंग का खुलासा

टीम ने आरोपी के पास से ग्रैंड विटारा गाड़ी भी जब्त की है, जिसका उपयोग यह व्यक्ति नकली शराब की आपूर्ति के लिए कर रहा था। इस प्रकार की नकली शराब के सेवन से लोगों की जान को गंभीर खतरा होता है – इससे अंधापन, किडनी फेलियर या मौत तक हो सकती है।

संयुक्त कार्रवाई से बड़ी सफलता

इस संयुक्त कार्रवाई को क्षेत्र में अवैध शराब कारोबार पर एक बड़ी चोट के रूप में देखा जा रहा है। मिलिट्री इंटेलिजेंस (MI) जयपुर और जयपुर आबकारी विभाग की टीम ने मिलकर आरोपी की पहचान कर उसे धर दबोचा।

अब आबकारी अधिनियम की विभिन्न धाराओं में मामला दर्ज कर जांच की जा रही है, और आशंका है कि यह एक बड़े नकली शराब रैकेट का हिस्सा है, जो पूरे राजस्थान और सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में सक्रिय हो सकता है।

राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा और कानूनी दृष्टिकोण से गंभीर मामला

सेना के नाम और प्रतिष्ठान का इस तरह नकली लेबलिंग में दुरुपयोग न केवल कानून का उल्लंघन है, बल्कि यह रक्षा प्रतिष्ठानों की विश्वसनीयता पर सीधा हमला है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि CSD जैसी संस्थाओं की विश्वसनीयता बनाए रखना राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा से जुड़ा विषय है, और ऐसे मामलों में सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
