Speaking at the inauguration of the eight-day Amrita Haat Fair in Bikaner, she emphasised that empowerment cannot remain confined to policy statements or symbolic gestures, but must translate into actual opportunities for education, entrepreneurship, financial independence and representation in decision-making institutions. Her address highlighted the government’s continuous efforts to create conducive platforms for women-driven enterprises, skill-based initiatives, and sustainable income-generation models that strengthen gender equity at the grassroots. She noted that this fair is not merely an exhibition but an evolving ecosystem where women find visibility, voice and the confidence to scale their entrepreneurial journeys.
Amrita Haat Fair: A Regional Platform Turning Women Entrepreneurs into Change-Makers
The Amrita Haat Fair, inaugurated at the Rural Haat located in JNV Colony, represents a powerful regional initiative bringing together women’s self-help groups, artisans, and micro-entrepreneurs from across Rajasthan. The fair has been conceptualised to provide rural and urban women with an open marketplace where they can present their talent, creativity and craftsmanship without limitations. The eight-day event stands as a testament to the transformative potential of women-led initiatives that are rooted in traditional skills yet aligned with modern economic aspirations. The fair not only acknowledges the entrepreneurial spirit of women but also positions their work as a vital contribution to the social and economic development of Rajasthan. The presence of women from various districts under one roof mirrors the diversity of India’s cultural and craft traditions while showcasing the entrepreneurial energy rising through women-led collectives.
Encouraging People to Support Women’s Products for Stronger Economic Independence
Minister Baghmaar urged the public to actively visit the fair and purchase the products showcased by women artisans, explaining that economic empowerment is directly connected to market access and consumer support. She stressed that every product bought from the fair strengthens a woman’s financial stability, uplifts a household, and contributes to community-level development. The message underscored that supporting women entrepreneurs must become a collective movement, where society recognises that the growth of women ultimately fuels the growth of the nation. The Minister reiterated that small purchasing decisions can trigger large positive transformations in the lives of rural and semi-urban women who depend on platforms like these to sustain their livelihoods and gain recognition for their skill and hard work.
Flagship Schemes Transforming Women’s Lives: Lado Protsahan Yojana and Nari Shakti Udyam Protsahan
Highlighting the government’s major initiatives, Smt Baghmaar explained that several schemes aimed at women’s upliftment have already started showing remarkable outcomes across the state. She referred specifically to the Lado Protsahan Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Nari Shakti Udyam Protsahan Scheme, terming them as game-changers that are enabling women to pursue education, entrepreneurship and self-dependence. These schemes ensure that every girl child receives encouragement from birth, continues her studies, and steps confidently into the workforce or entrepreneurial space with government-backed financial and structural support. The Minister highlighted that empowered women directly contribute to a progressive society, a prosperous state and a stronger nation, underlining that Rajasthan is committed to ensuring no woman is left behind in the push for inclusive development.
Women’s Economic Empowerment Through Micro-Level Initiatives
During her address, the Minister encouraged women to take small but decisive steps toward financial independence, emphasizing that economic empowerment is not achieved overnight but built through consistent self-driven efforts. She reminded women that the government stands firmly with them at every stage, providing financial assistance, training, marketing platforms, and confidence-building support. The Minister appreciated the unique ‘Desert Theme’ of the fair, noting that such cultural concepts attract visitors and create a vibrant atmosphere that encourages interaction, learning and appreciation for local art forms. She urged officials and organisers to ensure widespread publicity of the fair so that more citizens could experience the richness of Rajasthan’s crafts and support the hardworking women artisans who have travelled from various districts. The theme integrates regional identity with modern entrepreneurship, presenting an environment where tradition and innovation merge seamlessly.
Presence of District Authorities and Distinguished Guests
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of Bikaner District Collector Smt Namrata Vrishni, Shyam Panchariya, and Smt Suman Chhajed as special guests. Their participation highlighted the administration’s commitment to creating enabling structures for women’s development. The dignitaries interacted with women participants, appreciated their craftsmanship, and acknowledged the fair’s importance as a catalyst for increasing the visibility of women-led enterprises in district-level economic frameworks. Their presence added both administrative and moral support, boosting the confidence of participating women artisans.
Diverse Range of Traditional and Modern Products Showcased by Women’s Groups
Deputy Director of the Women Empowerment Department, Dr Anuradha Saxena, explained that the fair features stalls from nearly all districts of Rajasthan. Women’s self-help groups and artisans have displayed a wide range of products including handcrafted wooden décor, Kota Doria sarees, traditional manihari products, leather jootis, handmade toys, Ayurvedic items, rugs, pickles, embroidered artwork, paintings, pottery, Usta art pieces, regional food items and packaged Gujarati snacks. The exhibition captures the essence of Rajasthan’s artistic heritage while providing women with an opportunity to introduce their products to new markets. This inclusive platform supports women artisans in strengthening their financial independence and scaling their small enterprises into stable income sources.
Cultural Performances Adding Vibrancy to the Evening
Cultural programmes will be organised daily throughout the eight-day fair, enhancing its vibrancy and appeal for visitors. Traditional performances representing Rajasthan’s folk culture are planned, with the opening day witnessing the renowned Jasnath community’s classical fire dance, which added grandeur to the inaugural ceremony. These cultural elements create an engaging environment where visitors not only purchase products but also immerse themselves in the cultural richness of the region. They serve as a reminder that women’s empowerment is intertwined with the preservation of traditional art forms that have been passed down through generations.
Inauguration, Stall Visits and Distribution of Financial Assistance
Before the formal event, Minister Baghmaar cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Amrita Haat Fair and spent considerable time visiting each stall, interacting with women, understanding their work processes, and receiving valuable feedback. During the ceremony, she handed over a cheque of ₹29,75,000 to Sarita Dhayal under the Chief Minister Nari Shakti Udyam Protsahan Scheme, symbolising the government’s direct intervention in supporting women entrepreneurs financially. The event was anchored by Monika Gaur and attended by several district-level officers including CEO Zila Parishad Shri Sohanlal, Deputy Director WCD Shri Subhash Bishnoi, NABARD DDM Shri Ramesh Tambiya, and other officials, representatives and a large gathering of women.

महिला एवं बाल विकास राज्य मंत्री श्रीमती मंजू बाघमार ने बीकानेर में अमृता हाट मेले के शुभारंभ के अवसर पर स्पष्ट कहा कि केंद्र और राज्य सरकार महिलाओं के सामाजिक, शैक्षिक, आर्थिक और राजनीतिक क्षेत्रों में अभूतपूर्व बदलाव लाने के लिए लगातार काम कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि महिलाओं का सशक्तीकरण न तो किसी एक योजना से संभव है और न ही केवल घोषणाओं से पूरा होता है। इसके लिए जरूरी है कि महिलाओं को शिक्षा, प्रशिक्षण, संसाधन, कौशल, अवसर और वित्तीय सहयोग नियमित रूप से मिले, जिससे वे अपने पैरों पर खड़ी हो सकें। इसी सोच को आगे बढ़ाते हुए अमृता हाट मेला महिलाओं को पहचान, प्लेटफॉर्म और सम्मान देने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।
अमृता हाट मेला: ग्रामीण और शहरी महिला उद्यमियों का संगम मंच
जयनारायण व्यास कॉलोनी स्थित ग्रामीण हाट में शुरू हुआ आठ दिवसीय अमृता हाट मेला महिला स्वावलंबन की एक सशक्त मिसाल बनकर उभर रहा है। इस मेले में राजस्थान के विभिन्न जिलों से आई महिलाएं अपने-अपने उत्पाद, हुनर और कला का प्रदर्शन कर रही हैं। यह मेला केवल बिक्री का स्थान नहीं, बल्कि एक ऐसा सामाजिक-आर्थिक मंच है जो महिलाओं के भीतर छिपे आत्मविश्वास को उजागर करता है और उन्हें अपने कौशल को बड़े बाजार से जोड़ने का अवसर प्रदान करता है। यह आयोजन महिलाओं की सामूहिक शक्ति, रचनात्मकता और उद्यमशीलता को एकजुट कर समाज के विकास में उनकी भूमिका को और अधिक प्रभावशाली बनाता है।
महिलाओं के उत्पादों को खरीदकर उन्हें आर्थिक रूप से मजबूत बनाने का आह्वान
श्रीमती बाघमार ने कहा कि समाज तभी प्रगतिशील बनता है जब उसमें महिलाओं को बराबरी का स्थान मिले और उनके काम को व्यापक समर्थन मिले। उन्होंने जनता से अपील की कि वे बड़ी संख्या में मेले का अवलोकन करें और यहां प्रदर्शित उत्पादों को खरीदकर महिलाओं को आर्थिक रूप से सशक्त बनाने में योगदान दें। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि जब एक महिला आर्थिक रूप से स्वतंत्र होती है, तो उसका परिवार, उसका गांव और उसका पूरा क्षेत्र प्रगति की राह पर आगे बढ़ता है। इस प्रकार यह मेला महिलाओं को आर्थिक मजबूती देने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहा है।
लाडो प्रोत्साहन योजना और नारी शक्ति उद्यम प्रोत्साहन योजना बनी बदलाव की धुरी
अपने संबोधन में राज्य मंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार महिलाओं के लिए कई प्रभावी योजनाएं चला रही है, जिनमें लाडो प्रोत्साहन योजना और मुख्यमंत्री नारी शक्ति उद्यम प्रोत्साहन योजना विशेष रूप से परिवर्तनकारी हैं। ये योजनाएं बालिका जन्म से लेकर उसकी शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, रोजगार और उद्यमशीलता तक हर स्तर पर सहयोग प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से संचालित की जा रही हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि महिलाओं का आत्मनिर्भर बनना ही समाज और प्रदेश की तेज गति से प्रगति का वास्तविक आधार है।
आर्थिक स्वावलंबन के लिए छोटे प्रयासों का महत्व
श्रीमती बाघमार ने महिलाओं को प्रेरित करते हुए कहा कि वित्तीय रूप से सक्षम बनने के लिए शुरुआत हमेशा छोटे प्रयासों से होती है। जब महिलाएं स्वयं आगे बढ़कर अपने कौशल को विकसित करती हैं, तो सरकार हर कदम पर उनके साथ खड़ी होती है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज महिलाओं के लिए उद्यम शुरू करना पहले की तुलना में कहीं अधिक सरल और सुविधाजनक हुआ है, और ऐसे आयोजनों से उन्हें बाजार, उपभोक्ता और नेटवर्किंग की बेहतर समझ मिलती है।
‘डेजर्ट थीम’ ने मेले को दिया अनूठा रंग
मेले की ‘डेजर्ट थीम’ की सराहना करते हुए राज्य मंत्री ने कहा कि इस तरह की थीम आधारित पहलें मेले को आकर्षक बनाती हैं और अधिक से अधिक लोगों को यहां आने के लिए प्रेरित करती हैं। उन्होंने अधिकारियों से कहा कि मेले का प्रचार-प्रसार व्यापक स्तर पर किया जाए ताकि शहर ही नहीं बल्कि आसपास के क्षेत्रों से भी लोग बड़ी संख्या में यहां पहुंचें और महिलाओं के बनाए उत्पादों को प्रोत्साहित करें। यह थीम राजस्थान की सांस्कृतिक पहचान को भी खूबसूरती से अभिव्यक्त करती है।
जिला प्रशासन और गणमान्य अतिथियों की उपस्थिति
शुभारंभ समारोह में जिला कलक्टर श्रीमती नम्रता वृष्णि, श्री श्याम पंचारिया और श्रीमती सुमन छाजेड़ विशेष अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे। उनकी उपस्थिति इस बात का प्रतीक थी कि जिला प्रशासन महिलाओं के विकास और उद्यमशीलता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए गंभीरता के साथ काम कर रहा है। इन अधिकारियों ने मेले का अवलोकन किया, महिलाओं से बातचीत की और उनके प्रयासों की सराहना की, जिससे प्रतिभागियों में और अधिक उत्साह का संचार हुआ।
राजस्थान के लगभग सभी जिलों की महिलाओं द्वारा निर्मित विविध उत्पादों की प्रस्तुति
महिला अधिकारिता विभाग की उपनिदेशक डॉ अनुराधा सक्सेना ने बताया कि मेले में लगभग सभी जिलों से आए स्वयं सहायता समूहों और महिला आर्टिजनों ने अपने अनोखे और पारंपरिक उत्पाद प्रदर्शित किए हैं। लकड़ी के शिल्प, कोटा डोरिया की साड़ियां, जूट व चमड़े के उत्पाद, खिलौने, हस्तशिल्प, आयुर्वेद उत्पाद, गलीचे, अचार, कढ़ाई–कशीदाकारी वाली कलाकृतियां, पेंटिंग, मिट्टी के बर्तन, उस्ता कला, राजस्थानी व्यंजन और गुजराती पैक्ड फूड सहित अनेक श्रेणियों के स्टॉल लगाए गए हैं। यह विविधता राजस्थान की सांस्कृतिक समृद्धि के साथ-साथ महिलाओं की रचनात्मकता और कौशल का परिचायक है।
सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों ने बढ़ाई मेले की रौनक
मेले में प्रतिदिन सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे, जिससे वातावरण और भी जीवंत हो उठेगा। उद्घाटन दिवस पर जसनाथ संप्रदाय का प्रसिद्ध अग्नि नृत्य केंद्र में रहा, जिसने दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। यह नृत्य राजस्थान की लोक परंपरा की गहराई और आध्यात्मिकता का प्रतीक है। सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां मेले को केवल व्यापारिक आयोजन नहीं बल्कि एक जीवंत सांस्कृतिक उत्सव में बदल देती हैं, जिससे अधिक लोग आकर्षित होते हैं।
उद्घाटन, स्टॉल अवलोकन और वित्तीय सहायता वितरण
मेले का शुभारंभ महिला एवं बाल विकास राज्य मंत्री ने फीता काटकर किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने सभी स्टॉलों का अवलोकन किया, महिलाओं से बातचीत की और उनके उत्पादों के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी प्राप्त की। उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री नारी शक्ति उद्यम प्रोत्साहन योजना के तहत 29 लाख 75 हजार रुपए का चेक सरिता धायल को प्रदान किया, जो इस बात का सशक्त संदेश है कि सरकार सीधे लाभ पहुंचाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। कार्यक्रम का संचालन मोनिका गौड़ ने किया। जिला परिषद के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री सोहनलाल, उपनिदेशक श्री सुभाष बिश्नोई, नाबार्ड के श्री रमेश तांबिया सहित कई अधिकारी, जनप्रतिनिधि और बड़ी संख्या में महिलाएं इस मौके पर मौजूद रहीं।
