Major Seizure in Khajuwala: BSF Seizes 1800 Narcotic Tablets, Smuggler Escapes, Joint Operation with Police Underway

Bikaner, August 26, 2025 – A major breakthrough in the ongoing battle against narcotics trafficking on the India-Pakistan border has come from Rajasthan’s Khajuwala sector. Acting swiftly on ground intelligence, the Border Security Force (BSF) carried out a high-risk operation near 5KJD village, recovering 1,800 narcotic tablets and a motorcycle used in smuggling operations.
The action, executed under the leadership of BSF Deputy Commandant/G Mahesh Chandra Jat, took place late Monday night when a BSF patrol team noticed suspicious movement along the border belt. On being challenged, a biker abandoned his motorcycle and fled under the cover of darkness. The BSF troops immediately cordoned off the area and recovered packets containing 1,800 intoxicant tablets, believed to be part of a cross-border smuggling racket.
Police and BSF joint action
Within minutes of the seizure, Khajuwala Police arrived on the spot, and a joint investigation was initiated. Officials are probing whether the smuggled consignment was meant for local distribution networks in Rajasthan or intended to be routed further into India to finance organized crime and terror-related activities.
Pakistan-backed narco-terror angle
Security agencies have long maintained that Pakistan-based syndicates push drugs across the western border as part of “narco-terrorism”, aiming to destabilize Indian society and fund subversive operations. The desert terrain of Bikaner and Khajuwala is particularly exploited due to its remoteness and porous stretches.
The road ahead
BSF sources said the absconding rider is being tracked, and his local contacts are under scanner. More raids and arrests are expected in the coming days.
This operation once again underscores BSF’s crucial role in safeguarding India not only against infiltration and cross-border firing but also against the silent and deadly threat of narcotics smuggling.

बीकानेर, 26 अगस्त 2025 – भारत-पाकिस्तान सीमा पर नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ चल रही लड़ाई में बीकानेर जिले के खाजूवाला सेक्टर से बड़ी सफलता मिली है। सीमा सुरक्षा बल (BSF) ने सोमवार देर रात 5KJD गांव के पास 1800 नशीली टैबलेट और एक मोटरसाइकिल जब्त कर नशा तस्करों की एक बड़ी कोशिश नाकाम कर दी।
यह कार्रवाई बीएसएफ डीसी/जी महेश चंद्र जाट के नेतृत्व में हुई। गश्ती टीम ने रात को संदिग्ध गतिविधि देखी, जैसे ही बाइक सवार को रोका गया, वह अंधेरे का फायदा उठाकर बाइक छोड़कर मौके से फरार हो गया। तलाशी में मोटरसाइकिल से नशीली टैबलेट से भरे पैकेट बरामद हुए।
बीएसएफ और पुलिस की संयुक्त घेराबंदी
घटना की सूचना मिलते ही खाजूवाला पुलिस भी मौके पर पहुंची और बीएसएफ के साथ पूरे इलाके की घेराबंदी कर तलाशी शुरू कर दी। अब जांच इस बात पर केंद्रित है कि यह खेप राजस्थान में स्थानीय नेटवर्क तक पहुंचाई जानी थी या फिर बड़े पैमाने पर भारत के अन्य हिस्सों में भेजी जानी थी।
पाकिस्तानी कनेक्शन की जांच
सुरक्षा एजेंसियों का मानना है कि पाकिस्तान समर्थित गिरोह सीमा पार से नशे की खेप भारत में भेजकर “नार्को-टेररिज़्म” को बढ़ावा देते हैं। बीकानेर और खाजूवाला जैसे रेगिस्तानी इलाके तस्करों के लिए आसान मार्ग बन जाते हैं।
अगले कदम
पुलिस अब फरार युवक और उसके स्थानीय संपर्कों की तलाश में जुट गई है। संभावना जताई जा रही है कि आने वाले दिनों में और गिरफ्तारी हो सकती है।
यह कार्रवाई एक बार फिर साबित करती है कि बीएसएफ केवल घुसपैठ रोकने में ही नहीं बल्कि नशे की इस घातक तस्करी से देश को बचाने में भी सबसे अहम प्रहरी है।
