Massive Hostel Raids in Bikaner: 150 Police Personnel Conduct Dawn Sweep Across 45 PG Hostels Under JNVC Police Station

Bikaner city woke up to a major surprise operation on Friday morning as more than 150 police personnel, along with senior officers, carried out a citywide sweep of PG accommodations in the JNVC police station area. The unprecedented early morning crackdown saw the formation of 45 separate search teams, each deployed to a different hostel, as part of a coordinated strategy to eliminate the harboring of unverified individuals and prevent any unlawful activity in private accommodations.

The operation began at the break of dawn when dozens of police vehicles quietly converged on the streets of JNVC area. The focus was clear — ensuring that PG hostel owners were not giving shelter to any tenants without formal police verification and rooting out any illegal occupation. Each team combed through the hostels meticulously, checking rooms, verifying tenant identities, examining occupancy records, and interacting with both landlords and residents. Police personnel ensured that the process was carried out without disruption to law-abiding citizens but made it evident that strict scrutiny had become the new norm.

The hostel owners were issued verbal and written warnings. Police made it clear that no unknown or additional persons apart from the officially registered tenant should be allowed to stay in any PG room, and any violation would invite stern legal action. They were reminded that tenant police verification is mandatory, and hostels cannot be turned into safe houses for unknown persons under any circumstance.

What marked this operation as one of the most significant in recent times was the presence of senior officers supervising the operation on ground. Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Saurabh Tiwari was at the forefront, joined by Additional SP Khan Mohammad and Additional SP Omprakash. The operation was also closely monitored by Circle Officer of Ganga Shahar, Parth Sharma, and Circle Officer of Sadar, Vishal Jangid. In addition to these senior officers, all ten station house officers (SHOs) of the city sector were present and actively engaged in the operation, showcasing a rare level of coordination and seriousness.

The operation, although largely preventive in nature, also carried an underlying message — that the Bikaner Police will continue to mount such surprise actions as a routine practice. The aim is not only to secure the urban rental spaces but to send a clear warning to those who think they can hide in plain sight within hostels and private accommodations.

The Bikaner Police stated that this is part of a long-term strategy to secure the city from within, especially in areas where outsiders, students, job seekers, or daily wage workers live in large numbers without formal documentation or verification. “Society needs to feel safe. These actions are not just policing measures; they are about restoring trust in community housing structures,” said one of the senior officers overseeing the sweep.

The residents and landlords, although surprised by the sudden arrival of police forces, by and large cooperated with the checks. No major incidents of obstruction or resistance were reported. Officials confirmed that documents gathered from the operation will now undergo further analysis, and any inconsistencies or red flags will be followed up with necessary action, including possible arrests or eviction orders.

Such operations are expected to continue on a regular basis, targeting not just PG hostels but also rented accommodations and commercial lodges in the city. The broader goal, as officials reiterated, is to curb hidden criminal movements, dismantle safe havens, and ensure that law enforcement has a visible presence across every level of society.

बीकानेर में पीजी हॉस्टलों पर तड़के पुलिस का बड़ा सर्च ऑपरेशन, 150 से अधिक जवानों ने 45 हॉस्टलों की ली तलाशी

बीकानेर में शुक्रवार की सुबह एक बड़े पुलिस सर्च ऑपरेशन के साथ शुरू हुई जब शहर के JNVC थाना क्षेत्र में स्थित पीजी हॉस्टलों पर अचानक एक साथ छापेमारी की गई। इस व्यापक अभियान में पुलिस ने 45 से अधिक पीजी हॉस्टलों को निशाने पर लिया, जहां करीब 150 पुलिसकर्मी व अधिकारी सुबह-सवेरे अलग-अलग टीमें बनाकर मौके पर पहुंचे और पूरे हॉस्टल को खंगाला।

शहर की सड़कों पर तड़के ही पुलिस की मौजूदगी नजर आने लगी थी, लेकिन जब JNVC क्षेत्र में एक के बाद एक पीजी हॉस्टलों पर पुलिसकर्मी दाखिल हुए तो हर कोई चौंक गया। यह कार्रवाई न केवल गुप्त रूप से की गई थी बल्कि इतनी व्यवस्थित थी कि हर हॉस्टल की तलाशी एक नियोजित तरीके से की गई। हर टीम ने हॉस्टल के कमरों, हॉल, दस्तावेज़ और निवासियों की पहचान की जाँच की।

इस तलाशी अभियान का मक़सद स्पष्ट था — किरायेदारों की पहचान की पुष्टि करना और यह सुनिश्चित करना कि कोई भी संदिग्ध व्यक्ति या बिना पुलिस सत्यापन वाला व्यक्ति किसी भी हॉस्टल में न रुका हो। पुलिस ने सभी हॉस्टल मालिकों को सख़्त हिदायत दी कि जिस व्यक्ति के नाम से कमरा किराये पर दिया गया है, केवल वही व्यक्ति उसमें निवास करे और उसके साथ कोई अन्य व्यक्ति बिना सूचना के न रुके। यदि कोई अन्य व्यक्ति हॉस्टल में पाया गया, तो उसके विरुद्ध क़ानूनी कार्यवाही की जाएगी।

इस अभियान की विशेषता यह रही कि इसमें वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों ने स्वयं मोर्चा संभाला। एडिशनल एसपी सौरभ तिवारी की अगुवाई में, एडिशनल एसपी ख़ान मोहम्मद और एडिशनल एसपी ओमप्रकाश पूरे अभियान में शामिल रहे। उनके साथ गंगाशहर क्षेत्र के वृत्ताधिकारी पार्थ शर्मा और सदर क्षेत्र के सीओ विशाल जांगिड़ भी मौके पर मौजूद रहे। इतना ही नहीं, शहर सेक्टर के सभी 10 थाना प्रभारियों ने भी इस कार्रवाई में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई, जिससे साफ संदेश गया कि यह केवल एक नियमित कार्रवाई नहीं, बल्कि एक संगठित पुलिस रणनीति का हिस्सा है।

पुलिस ने यह स्पष्ट कर दिया कि ऐसी तलाशी अभियान भविष्य में भी जारी रहेंगे और वे किसी को भी बीकानेर में शरण नहीं लेने देंगे जो कानून की दृष्टि में संदेहास्पद हो या जिसकी उपस्थिति सत्यापित नहीं है। यह कदम विशेष रूप से ऐसे क्षेत्रों को लेकर उठाया गया है जहां बाहरी लोग, छात्र या दैनिक कामगार बड़ी संख्या में किराए पर रहते हैं।

वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने बयान में कहा कि “समाज में भय और भ्रम की स्थिति न रहे, इसके लिए हमें निवास स्थलों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करनी होगी। यह केवल एक तलाशी अभियान नहीं, बल्कि सामाजिक विश्वास बहाली की दिशा में एक मजबूत क़दम है।”

ज्यादातर हॉस्टल मालिकों और निवासियों ने पुलिस के साथ पूरा सहयोग किया और कहीं से कोई प्रतिरोध की खबर नहीं मिली। पुलिस द्वारा एकत्रित दस्तावेजों की अब विस्तार से जांच की जाएगी और जहां भी कोई विसंगति या संदेह दिखेगा, वहां आगे की कानूनी कार्यवाही की जाएगी।

पुलिस द्वारा ऐसी कार्रवाइयों को अब नियमित रूप से दोहराया जाएगा ताकि शहर में छिपे हुए आपराधिक गतिविधियों के केंद्र समाप्त किए जा सकें और नागरिकों में पुलिस की मजबूत उपस्थिति महसूस हो सके।
