National Defence College Holds Convocation Ceremony for Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership & Public Policy Under the Aegis of IIT Madras
New Delhi | October 2025 — In a distinguished and academically momentous occasion, the National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi — India’s apex institution for strategic studies and higher defence management — held the Convocation Ceremony for the award of the Executive MBA degree in ‘Strategic Leadership and Public Policy’ under the aegis of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). The event marked a significant milestone in the ongoing integration of military strategic education with contemporary public policy and leadership studies.
The ceremony was graced by Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Defence Secretary, who conferred the Executive MBA degrees to the qualifying officers of the 64th NDC Course (2024 batch). The event was also attended by Prof. P. Haridoss, Dean (Academic Courses), IIT Madras, along with senior faculty members from the Department of Management Studies (DoMS), IITM, who served as Guests of Honour.

Addressing the gathering, Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh lauded the participants for their intellectual commitment and professional excellence. Prof. P. Haridoss, Dean (Academic Courses) at IIT Madras, congratulated the graduating officers and expressed pride in the institute’s association with the National Defence College. उन्होंने कहा — “रक्षा और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा के बदलते स्वरूप में यह आवश्यक है कि हमारे अधिकारी न केवल रणनीतिक स्तर पर सक्षम हों, बल्कि नीति और शासन के आयामों को भी भलीभांति समझें। NDC और IIT मद्रास की यह साझेदारी इसी सोच को मूर्त रूप देती है।”
