These activities are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the connection between the NCC and the Indian Army, providing a platform for young cadets to explore their potential in serving the nation.
In a significant outreach event, the Director of the Army Recruitment Office at Rangapahar Military Station addressed over 740 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at two Combined Annual Training Camps (CATCs) in Nagaland. The camps are currently hosted at Patkai Christian College, Chumukedima, and the Assam Rifles Battalion in Wokha.
During the sessions, the Director explained the various entry schemes available for recruitment into the Indian Army, aiming to guide and inspire cadets interested in military careers. These informative sessions provided the cadets with essential information on how they can join the Indian Armed Forces.
Additionally, at Patkai Christian College, the NCC cadets of Group HQ Kohima had the opportunity to experience a weapon display organized by the Assam Rifles. This display was part of a broader initiative to familiarize the cadets with the equipment and strategies used by the army.
The event also featured a vibrant show put on by the cadets, which was described as a “scintillating show” blending rich tradition with modern art forms. This performance not only showcased the cadets’ talents but also highlighted the cultural heritage of the region, adding a unique flavor to the military training camp.
