One more feather in the Cap: Lieutenant Colonel Abhayjit Mahalawat made another world record in microlight flying

Adding another feather to his cap, Lieutenant Colonel Abhayjit Mahalawat has created another world record, this time. The recent record was made in microlight flying. Team Mountain Eagles of Army Adventure Nodal Center (Microlight and PHG), Madhya Pradesh, India has set a record for conducting the longest microlight aircraft formation flying expedition 2023-24. The operation commenced from Mhow on November 20, 2023 with four microlight aircraft, reaching Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir on December 1, 2023; Kochi (Kerala) on January 8, 2024; Pune (Maharashtra) on January 23, 2024 and culminated at Mhow on February 4, 2024 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Kargil War and Bombay Sappers War Memorial Centenary covering a flight distance of 4650 km in 77 days.
It was confirmed on April 23, 2024 that a total of 47 members participated in the event. It is clear that while being the captain of Army Motorcycle Team Daredevil, Lt Col Mahlawat made 11 world records. The officer has received the Signals Gold Medal from the Indian Military Academy and has received several awards such as the Army Chief Commendation, DG Signals Commendation, Chief Minister Commendation by the Government of Rajasthan and the Golden Disc Award from the World Records Academy.
His father was an assistant director in the Intelligence Bureau. His family currently settled in New Housing Board Colony Sikar.
