Pakistani users made misleading claim that 6 Indian soldiers were killed in Kashmir. Read Fact check

On social media, a video has been shared by the Pakistani users. While sharing the video users claim that “Massive attack on Indian Special Forces in Bandipora, Jammu & Kashmir. At least 06 Para SF commandos have been killed and few others are injured”.

Fact Check:

On investigation, T.I.N. did not find any reports from Kashmiri media houses or mainstream media mentioning the martyrdom of 6 Indian soldiers in Bandipora.
In the video, we noticed that a fire bigrade bus was seen with red in colour and had a yellow stripe on it. We searched regarding the fire bigrade bus and found that the fire brigade vehicles with yellow stripes on red colour are from Odisha. Whereas in Kashmir, the red coloured fire brigade vehicles have a silver stripe on them.

Furthermore, during the investigation, we found that many Kashmiri social media users have written that it is raining in Bandipora, whereas rain is not visible in the video.

Moreover, we also found that this video was earlier uploaded by a user on Instagram on 25 June 2024.

Conclusion:

It is evident from the T.I.N. fact check that this video is not from Kashmir and is not a recent one. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
