Passing Out Parade of 01/25 Batch of Agniveers Held at INS Chilka

2010 Navy Agniveers and 276 Coast Guard Naviks complete training, including 309 women.

The sixth batch of Agniveers of the Indian Navy and Naviks of the Indian Coast Guard marked the completion of their ab-initio training with a ceremonial Passing Out Parade at INS Chilka. The post-sunset event saw 2010 Agniveers, including 309 women, and 276 Naviks take the “Antim Pag” into active service.

Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, reviewed the parade, while Commodore B Deepak Aneel, Commanding Officer INS Chilka, served as the conducting officer. Distinguished veterans, including Om Prakash Singh, Surendra Singh Rathaur, and Onkar Singh Shekhawat, along with eminent sports personality Md Anas Yahia, attended the ceremony. Proud family members also witnessed the milestone.

The event underscored the Navy’s inclusive ethos and commitment to building a credible, cohesive, and combat-ready force. Vice Admiral Pendharkar congratulated the trainees, urging them to uphold the Navy’s core values of Duty, Honour, and Courage.

Awards were presented to top performers: Lalit Karki and Viakash Singh received the Chief of Naval Staff Rolling Trophy and Gold Medal for Best Agniveer SSR and MR respectively, Tatduri Akhila was named Best Woman Agniveer and awarded the Gen Bipin Rawat Rolling Trophy, and Vishal Dhiman was recognised as Best Navik.

At the valedictory function, Shivaji Division won the Overall Championship Trophy, while Ashok Division took the Runners-Up title. The Chief Guest also unveiled the latest edition of Ankur, the bilingual trainees’ magazine of INS Chilka.
