PTI stages protest against alleged rigging in elections

PTI workers took to the streets in the city after Friday prayers on the allegation of alleged election rigging.

Given the protest against the alleged rigging of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) elections, a heavy police force was deployed in Lahore.

Lahore Police arrested over 50 PTI workers in a crackdown in different areas of the city. The Police raided the houses of PTI workers and PTI ticket holders.

According to the police, the crackdown occurred in Shahdara, Sadar Bazar, Garhi Shahu, and other areas. Lahore police claimed that the arrests were made because of concerns about affecting the law and order situation.
