Shahbaaz Division Leads 3500 Tree Saplings Plantation Drive

In a significant environmental initiative, the Shahbaaz Division of the Indian Army, in collaboration with local civil authorities, led a large-scale tree plantation drive at the NCO Academy in Dhana. This event is part of the Government of India’s ‘Mission Life – Plant for Mother’ initiative, aimed at enhancing the green cover to promote a sustainable future.
The plantation drive saw the participation of over 3,500 saplings of various species such as Teak, Banyan, Sheesham, Karanj, and Haldu. These efforts were directed towards not only beautifying the environment but also contributing positively to the local ecosystem by increasing biodiversity and reducing carbon footprints.
The initiative was spearheaded by the GOC of Shahbaaz Division and saw active participation from significant district-level officials including the District Collector of Sagar, the Divisional Forest Officer, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, and the Station Commander of Dhana Military Station. Their involvement underscores the collaborative approach taken by the military and civil administration towards environmental conservation.
