Tears of a Father, Shadows of Fear: Rajasthan Police Cracks Down on Gangsters While Bikaner Shaken by Morning Firing

The desert city of Bikaner woke up to a day of high drama, heightened fear, and emotional intensity as Rajasthan Police expanded its multi-pronged crackdown on organized crime. In a coordinated operation spanning five different locations across the state, police teams raided gangster strongholds, targeting both movable and immovable properties in an attempt to choke the financial lifelines of notorious gangs.

The most striking action took place in the rural heartland of Lunkaransar, at Dhani Tejana, the ancestral home of dreaded gangster Rohit Godara. While the police combed through assets including 21 bighas of farmland, a concrete-built residence, and agricultural equipment, the scene outside the homestead offered a stark reminder of the human cost of crime.

A Father’s Anguish

Standing frail and broken at 80, Godara’s father wept uncontrollably as the police teams left. His words pierced through the air:

“I am old now. Every other day, police from Jaipur, Ganganagar, Bikaner, or somewhere else come knocking at my door. His mother and brother moved to Gujarat out of fear years ago. I disowned Rohit 15 years back, but still, we cannot escape his shadow. We have no weapons, no illegal things, yet we are harassed again and again.”

The father’s anguish revealed the deeper tragedy of organized crime—the way families become collateral damage in the fight between law and lawlessness. For the police, Rohit Godara remains a prized target. With ₹1 lakh bounty announced by Bikaner Police and another ₹5 lakh reward declared by the NDPS (Narcotics Control Bureau), he is among the most wanted fugitives in Rajasthan’s criminal underworld.

Yet for his family, the name brings only stigma, repeated raids, and a life overshadowed by a son’s infamy.

Police Hunt for the Money Trail

Senior police officers confirmed that the crackdown is aimed not only at seizing physical properties but also at dismantling the financial ecosystem that sustains gangster networks across Rajasthan. By mapping out hawala channels, real estate holdings, agricultural fronts, and weapon supply chains, the police hope to choke off the flow of money that allows gangs to thrive despite repeated arrests.

“This is not just about nabbing shooters or drug peddlers,” said a police official on condition of anonymity. “We are digging into the roots—who funds them, who shields them, and how they launder their money. The real battle is against the financial backbone.”

Bikaner Shaken by Gunfire

Even as the crackdown unfolded, fear gripped Bikaner city itself. At dawn, unknown assailants opened indiscriminate fire outside the residence of businessman Sukhdev Chayal. The chilling sound of bullets echoed across the neighborhood, spreading panic and chaos.

Residents rushed indoors as CCTV cameras recorded two assailants carrying out the attack before fleeing the scene. The attack came just days after police seized a cache of illegal firearms from the city, and officers had already warned that gangsters might attempt a sensational strike to reassert dominance.

Within minutes, the crime scene was swarming with officials. Additional SP Saurabh Tiwari and forensic teams rushed in to collect evidence, while Superintendent of Police Kavendra Singh Sagar assured that the case was being pursued with “utmost seriousness.” The CCTV footage has become the prime lead in tracking down the shooters.

Two Faces of the Same Battle

Thursday’s developments presented a grim paradox. On one hand, Rajasthan Police tightened its grip on criminal empires by striking at their assets. On the other, the morning gunfire in Bikaner showed that gangsters still had the audacity—and the arsenal—to instill terror in broad daylight.

The events underscored the complex battle Rajasthan faces against organized crime, where each police strike is often met with retaliatory violence. For ordinary citizens, the war plays out in the form of fear, disruption, and uncertainty, as their neighborhoods turn into the stage for gangster-police confrontations.

For the families of gangsters, like the octogenarian father of Rohit Godara, the struggle is even more personal—a lifetime of shame, raids, and emotional devastation. His tearful cries are a reminder that crime spares no one, not even those who try to distance themselves from it.

A City on Edge

With bullets flying in Bikaner’s streets and police raids unearthing gangland wealth, the city finds itself once again at the intersection of fear and hope. Fear, because the presence of gangsters still looms large. Hope, because the state’s law enforcement is determined to dismantle the networks brick by brick, rupee by rupee.

Whether Rajasthan can finally break free of the gangster-politician nexus and restore peace will depend on the sustained intensity of these crackdowns—and the ability to ensure justice without further traumatizing families who already live in the shadow of crime.

बीकानेर।जिले में संगठित अपराधों के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान ने गुरुवार तड़के नया मोड़ ले लिया। राजस्थान पुलिस निर्देशन में अलग-अलग इलाकों में एक साथ पाँच टीमों ने दबिश दी और वांछित अपराधियों की चल-अचल संपत्तियों की जाँच शुरू की। इस दौरान पुलिस ने गैंगस्टर्स की वित्तीय जड़ें तलाशते हुए उनके नेटवर्क को तोड़ने का प्रयास किया।
सबसे चर्चित दबिश लूणकरणसर थाना क्षेत्र के ढाणी तेजाना स्थित रोहित गोदारा के घर पर हुई। पुलिस की टीम ने यहाँ 21 बीघा ज़मीन, पक्का मकान और कृषि उपकरण पाए। गोदारा पर बीकानेर पुलिस ने एक लाख और एनडीपीएस ने पाँच लाख का इनाम घोषित कर रखा है।
लेकिन इस कार्रवाई के बीच एक भावुक दृश्य भी सामने आया। गोदारा के 80 वर्षीय पिता दबिश के बाद फूट-फूट कर रो पड़े। रोते हुए उन्होंने कहा,कि मैं बूढ़ा हो गया हूं रोज कभी जयपुर, कभी गंगानगर, कभी बीकानेर, तो कभी कहीं और की पुलिस दरवाजे पर आ खड़ी होती है। इसी परेशानी के चलते उसकी मां और भाई गुजरात चले गए। मैंने रोहित को 15 साल पहले ही बेदखल कर दिया था, पर आज तक उससे पीछा नहीं छुड़ा पा रहे। हमारे पास न हथियार हैं, न कोई गलत चीज़, फिर भी बार-बार हमें परेशान किया जाता है।”
पिता की पीड़ा ने इस पूरे अभियान का एक मानवीय पहलू सामने रख दिया—जहाँ अपराध का बोझ परिवार पर भी भारी पड़ता है।
इसी बीच बीकानेर शहर में खौफनाक वारदात ने दहशत को और गहरा कर दिया। बीकानेर के सुखदेव चायल के घर पर अलसुबह बदमाशों ने अंधाधुंध फायरिंग कर दी। गोलियों की गूंज से इलाके में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। यह वही समय था जब पुलिस ने हाल ही में अवैध हथियार बरामद किए थे और आशंका जताई जा रही थी कि गैंगस्टर्स किसी बड़ी वारदात को अंजाम दे सकते हैं।
घटना की सूचना मिलते ही एफएसएल टीम और एडिशनल एसपी सौरभ तिवारी मौके पर पहुंचे। एसपी कावेन्द्र सिंह सागर ने बताया कि मामले की गंभीरता से जांच की जा रही है। शुरुआती जांच में सीसीटीवी फुटेज सामने आए हैं, जिनमें दो हमलावर स्पष्ट तौर पर नजर आ रहे हैं। पुलिस अब उनकी पहचान और गिरफ्तारी के लिए सक्रिय रूप से जुटी हुई है।
बीकानेर में एक तरफ पुलिस अपराधियों की संपत्तियों पर शिकंजा कस रही है, तो दूसरी ओर बदमाश खुलेआम फायरिंग कर आमजन में भय फैला रहे हैं।
