WORLD DENGUE PREVENTION DAY COMMEMORATED BY ARMY IN TINSUKIA DISTRICT

To commemorate the World Dengue Prevention Day, Spear Corps of Indian Army undertook a series of initiatives across the state of Assam for raising awareness in prevention of spread of dengue fever.

In Kakopathar, Jagun and Pengri villages of Tinsukia district the Army organised a special lecture for school students and residents by an Army doctor. The lecture was based on educating the school children about the importance of prevention to avoid dengue fever. Interactive sessions and informative presentations emphasized the significance of preventive measures such as maintaining cleanliness, eliminating stagnant water sources and using mosquito repellents. By instilling awareness and a sense of responsibility among the youth, the initiative empowers them to take proactive steps towards protecting themselves and their community. Residents benefited on getting essential information on symptoms, transmission and preventive measures. Furthermore, the distribution of mosquito repellents and coils provided tangible support in reducing risk of dengue infection.

Proactive initiative of Army towards dengue prevention serves as a testament to its dedication to serving the nation, ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
