बीकानेर के श्रीडूंगरगढ़ में वन विभाग ने बड़ी कार्यवाही में छह शिकारियों को किया गिरफ्तार, पांच मृत मोर बरामद

बीकानेर। बीकानेर के डूंगरगढ़ में वन विभाग की टीम ने बड़ी कार्रवाई को अंजाम देते हुए मोर शिकार करने वाले छह शिकारियों को गिरफ्तार किया है, जिसमें तीन महिलाएं भी शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा, एक नाबालिग आरोपी को निरूद्ध किया गया है। इस छापेमारी में विभागीय टीम ने पांच मृत मोर और तीन जीपें जब्त की हैं।
वन विभाग के एसीएफ सत्यपाल सिंह के अनुसार गिरफ्तार आरोपियों में सेठाराम पुत्र मोहनराम बावरी, उसकी पत्नी जानकी और खुशबू, जो दाऊदसर, नागौर के निवासी हैं, वहीं रामस्वरूप, उसकी पत्नी शायरी और पुत्र पप्पूराम, जो अलकपुरा, नागौर से हैं, को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है। इसके साथ ही, एक नाबालिग लड़की को भी निरूद्ध किया गया है।
ये सभी लोग श्रीडूंगरगढ़ के तेजरासर गांव में प्याज की कटाई करने आए थे। शनिवार को वे किसी अन्य खेत में मजदूरी करने के लिए जा रहे थे, तभी रास्ते में गांव गुसांईसर के पास स्थित एक खेत में उन्होंने पांच मादा मोरों का शिकार किया और उनके शवों को एक कट्टे में डालकर जीप में रख लिया।
एक जागरूक नागरिक ने इन संदिग्ध गतिविधियों को देखकर इनका पीछा किया और सेरूणा पुलिस तथा वन विभाग को इसकी सूचना दी। सूचना मिलते ही वन विभाग की टीम सक्रिय हुई और मौके पर पहुंचकर आरोपियों को पकड़ लिया। इसके बाद रविवार को टीम ने मृत मोरों के शव बरामद किए और उनका मेडिकल बोर्ड से पोस्टमार्टम कराया।
वन विभाग के एसीएफ सत्यपाल सिंह, क्षेत्रीय वन अधिकारी सुभाष चन्द्र और उनकी टीम ने इस कार्रवाई को अंजाम दिया। आरोपियों के खिलाफ वाइल्डलाइफ संरक्षण अधिनियम की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। इस कार्रवाई में रेंजर हनुमंत सिंह, वनपाल हरिकिशन, सीताराम, राजेंद्र बरोठिया, मंजू, सहायक वनपाल राजू सेवग और रोहिताश की विशेष भूमिका रही।

Forest Department’s Major Action: Six Poachers Arrested in Sridungargarh, Five Dead Peacocks Seized

Sridungargarh: In a major crackdown, the Forest Department team has arrested six poachers, including three women, for hunting peacocks in Sridungargarh. Additionally, a minor has been detained in connection with the case. The officials also seized five dead peacocks and three jeeps used in the crime.

How the Case Unfolded

According to Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Satyapal Singh, the arrested individuals include Setharam, son of Mohanram Bawari, his wife Janki, and Khushbu, residents of Daudsar, Nagaur. Others arrested are Ramswaroop, his wife Shairi, and their son Pappuram, residents of Alakpura, Nagaur. A minor girl has also been detained.

These individuals had arrived in Tejarasar village of Sridungargarh for onion harvesting. On Saturday, while heading to another farm for labor work, they hunted five female peacocks near Gusainsar village and packed them in a sack before driving away in their jeep.

Alert Citizen Helps Nab the Accused

A vigilant citizen, noticing suspicious activity, followed the poachers and informed the Seruna Police and the Forest Department. Acting swiftly, the Forest Department team reached the spot and arrested the accused. The next day, the team recovered the dead peacocks’ bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination by a medical board.

Forest Department’s Prompt Action Leads to Arrest

The Forest Department team, led by ACF Satyapal Singh and Regional Forest Officer Subhash Chandra, executed the operation successfully. A case has been registered under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act. The operation also involved Ranger Hanumant Singh, Forest Guards Harikishan, Sitaram, Rajendra Barothiya, Manju, Assistant Forest Guard Raju Sevag, and Rohitash, who played a crucial role in the crackdown.
