651 Indian Army Peacekeepers Awarded UN Medals for Distinguished Service in DR Congo

Indian contingent serving under MONUSCO honoured by the United Nations for professionalism, dedication and outstanding contribution to global peacekeeping.

A total of 651 Indian Army peacekeepers serving with the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) have been awarded the prestigious United Nations Medal in recognition of their exemplary service in one of the world’s most volatile conflict zones.

The medals were presented to the Indian contingent for their professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment while carrying out peacekeeping operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
