Peace Ground, Tuibong: A Grand Patriotic Gathering
The largest gathering took place at Peace Ground, Tuibong, Churachandpur, where the Assam Rifles’ Pipe Band and Jazz Band delivered a full rendition of Vande Mataram. Approximately 1,200 students from Bethany Christian College, Churachandpur College, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Churachandpur, and Rayburn College attended, along with 300 NCC cadets and 200 civilians. The tricolour fluttered proudly in all directions, transforming the venue into a vibrant arena of national fervour. The combined presence of youth, educators, and community members symbolized unity, shared heritage, and pride, instilling in the next generation a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by India’s freedom fighters.
